To be honest, i'm not familiar with the Chinese Paladin games or drama, i choice to start this one because there Ju Jing Yi in, but it's a very good surprise.
The 13 first episodes can be a little strange, you can think it's childish drama but not at all! Sword and Fairy 4 is about friendship and it's very nice writtenn and the acting is very good, episode after episode you see this group of friends growing and you start being you too a member of this group.
Of course it's a bit classic, the ML have a hidden power, but overall it's not even something very big in the scenario/plots and almost every trouble they encounter they deal with it togother. It's not a xianxia with CGI everywhere, big fights each episode, big romance or things like that. It's the adventure of a group of friends.
The ending is so beautiful!!
