If i got the timeline right, are they getting married in 1996? Apart from being illegal which country allowed…
Did they really get legally married, though? The priest or whoever was saying their vows used the word “partner”, not “husband”. This makes me think it was a marriage ceremony only in name.

Nerdy anachronism - no Euros in 1996.
The details matter! Kind of like the rose petals floating down on them - how? 😂

I was smiling so wide the last few minutes of ep. 12! I love them, I love that they’re happy together, and I love that neither one had an unrealistic personality change at the last minute. This show was frustrating at first and the character growth was subtle, but I enjoyed the last few episodes. And if we really are going to see these actors in a new series, I hope they’re a couple again.

Someone explain me last 5min of ep11
I just want to add that shorting a commodity or any security is incredibly risky because there is no limit to how high the price can go. If you short a position at $10 per share and it goes up to $100 per share you’re on the hook for $90 per share. And since most financial firms won’t let you do this unless you have a margin account to borrow against, it can get very expensive to cover those positions.

Anyone complaining that there is no character growth should go back and watch the first two or three episodes because XF has changed a lot! He never would have dared to stage that seduction scene in the beginning of their weird relationship. Btw, that scene was lovely. Kudos to both actors! The fallout in next week’s episode is going to be so delicious. I hope they end up together but some real truths need to be spoken, like how they actually feel about each other.

I’m sure this story was better as a novel because hopefully it delves into their emotions and hidden thoughts and feelings, and makes their motivations for certain actions a bit clearer.

Xiao Fan still has no backbone and probably wont ever get one. I might be the minority here but I don't like anyone…
He’s standing up to his brother, so that counts. I went back and watched from the beginning and back then his whole posture was different; he was folded in on himself like he wanted to disappear. Now he’s standing up straight and making more eye contact. And remember, he did ask for a divorce and he left everyone behind. LK chased him down; he didn’t go begging to him. He’s doing the best he can under difficult circumstances and limited options.

This show has actually grown on me as it’s progressing. It’s subtle; you really have to pay attention to see the character growth. I’m just sad we didn’t get two episodes this weekend,

“ don’t think your ass is that valuable” bro i’m walking out the door and never returning . gth
I get it 100%, but these characters both have trouble honestly communicating. The underlying message behind the ultimatum of saying that if he leaves now, don’t bother coming back, is: “I don’t want you to leave me again; stay with me and commit to our relationship.” However, if you meet a man this emotionally constipated, run away! But it works for me in this drama.

Title Deep In Spoiler
I understand that FC and GZ are a real-life couple whose lives were made into a movie, in which they are played…
I see your point logically, but it would have been so jarring to see two completely new actors in those roles! I think the director made the right decision there.

This ended up being much better than I expected! I credit the two actors for their hard work and amazing performances. I hope we see them acting together again, because they’re pure magic as a couple. ❤️

Boat and Oat are one of the best couples in BL land in their NC scenes. I also have no issue with their regular acting, but can we pleeeeease get these two a proper script? Because this isn’t it. I spend too much time being bored. Sigh.

Now that my wine rant is over, that NC scene was SO beautiful, one of the best I’ve had the pleasure of watching. The blinds behind them, the music… All of it was just perfect. Sensual, passionate, and also tender and sweet, I couldn’t ask for more!

My thing is LQ might not want to let him go, but the way he keeps bringing LWX I think only reinforces LXF's decision.…
My theory is that LQ wants XF to become strong enough to fight for their relationship instead of withdrawing and running away. I think he keeps testing him deliberately to see if he has changed. Considering that there is still that pesky marriage issue, I hope the divorce happens soon!

Baby steps, everyone! XF finally got away from the toxic influences - and he threw away everything LQ ever gave him. I wonder where we go from here because I doubt LQ is going to let his Fan Fan go so easily.

I loved this show, even the ending (bad AI beach notwithstanding). I love the way Mr. Prosecutor finally opened up emotionally; his whole demeanor softened visibly. After the usual combination of anger and passion, thiswas lovely. On that note, Kim Yoon Sik is an amazing actor and I hope we see more of him!

I think we’re all focusing on that NC scene because we were already emotionally invested in them. For example, the first scenes in “My Stubborn” didn’t resonate with me until later in the series. I didn’t even know the characters at that point so there was no context to that encounter. In Payback we have that context and the surrender isn’t just physical but also mental and emotional, which is why it was so touching. Sun is choosing to live for the first time in five years and he’s putting full faith and trust in Jay to help pull him out of that darkness and guilt. It was almost too much to watch.

i truly do not know how actors can film such scenes without falling in love like this is some really steamy stuff…
It’s called “acting” for a reason. This is literally their job. Performing so well that the audience believes it’s real is exactly what an actor is being paid to do. Besides, there is more to it than we see - the blocking and instructions for each scene (“Put your arm down more; we can’t see your faces”, “Tilt your head back so we can get that closeup of the neck kiss”), not to mention a camera in your face take any real sexiness out of it.

Btw, this is why I never watch the BTS. It takes away all the magic and I’d rather see them as the characters they’re playing. I just never confuse acting with real life, because the two are very different.

I love the way they ripped off their clothes in episode 4. I wish more couples would do this. None of that slow, gentle disrobing that takes forever. Nope, just take off everything as quickly and urgently as possible. 😁
