I first discovered him as Ye Dingzhi in Dashing Youth, and that’s when I became his fan. I knew he had a very bright future and have been looking forward to his main lead roles ever since. I was so excited when he was cast in Speed and Love that I started reading the novel. He truly deserves the recognition, his acting as Jin Zhao was marvelous. Can’t wait to see more of his dramas.
He will start filming the drama Di Mou alongside Bao Shangen, and reliable Melon sources say filming will begin around December 31st. Today, there was another melon claiming that he may star in a project alongside Wang Churan, but I don’t take it seriously. Since he is starting his next project this month, I don’t think the latter drama has been decided yet. Still, we don’t know, anything can happen
yeah it’s kinda rare novel fans actually support drama version , but currently in mainland , almost all novel…
Agreed. As a novel reader, I’m very satisfied because it stayed extremely close to the original. The changes they made were minor and actually worked well for the drama everything flowed smoothly. I especially liked how Jiang Mu’s stepmother and sister were portrayed more kindly, and I’m also glad they changed Jin Zhao’s injury so he only needed rehabilitation instead of losing his leg. Those adjustments made the story even better for me.
Finally finished watching. I’m extremely picky with modern C-dramas, and this year I only watched four: First Frost, Reborn, Be Passionately in Love, and Speed and Love. I didn’t expect this one to hit me so hard it’s without a doubt my favorite with First Frost coming second.
As someone who read the novel and loved it deeply, I’m so grateful for this adaptation. Apart from a few small changes, it stayed so close to the novel, and many scenes were exactly how I imagined them. Watching them come to life was somewhat emotional.
The casting is perfect. I honestly can’t imagine anyone other than Esther Yu and He Yu as Jiang Mu and Jin Zhao. Their chemistry is amazing, and they completely became the characters for me.
From the beginning to end, I was fully immersed. Not a single episode felt boring. I’ve been waiting for this drama since the cast was confirmed, and it exceeded all my expectations. Definitely a rewatch worthy drama. A solid 10/10. I’m gonna miss them so much 😭♥️.
We know from the start there was a body swap though... And it was extremely useful to get the plot moving... But…
Oh I get it, I just personally don’t enjoy the body swap trope. I feel like the plot could’ve moved forward in other ways. It’s just a preference difference 😊.
