Yes, I’m not a fan of its usage either, but given how great everything else is—from the acting and chemistry to the story—I can totally turn a blind eye to the production’s decision to use it. If you keep fixating on this, the show’s rating will go down unnecessarily, even though there are plenty of mediocre shows out there with high ratings for God-knows-what reason. Whatever you say affects the impressions of others who might want to watch it, so please stop the hate. The show is great, the chemistry is fantastic, and while it would have been wonderful if they hadn’t used AI, they made their choice. Let’s focus on the good
There’s something unique about this show that drew me in and hooked me from the very first episode — it carries that special Hong Kong vibe you rarely find in films anymore. And I haven’t come across a handsome, manly actor like Leo Peng in such a long time. He reminds me of those classic Hong Kong heroes like Ekin Cheng. He has such a striking face, and he’s doing real justice to the role.
The only sad part is that this is Hong Kong — after a BL movie or series, you usually never see the cast again; it’s like they stop getting work. Honestly, I don’t care whether they work together or not, or whether their next projects are in other genres.
