Their past life broke my heartđ What shattered jaga wasn't what those accusations meant for him What he couldn't bear was seeing Danshim in tears and realizing the burden she was willing to carry just to save his life. He could no longer watch her force herself to say those painful words. The moment he told her to stop, he wasn't protecting himself. He was protecting her.
Better than I expected. The cinematography is stunning, the color palette of the scenes and the charactersâ styling are perfectly in sync with the vibe of the series. The story is engaging and the pacing has been really solid so far. Hope it keeps this momentum till the endđ
What if one of those sasaeng fans (like the ones we saw in Shooting Stars) saw the video of Raik yelling at those girls⊠and decided to take revenge by killing Wooseong? They said the murder happened exactly two weeks after that night. Enough time to plan everything. And if the killer was a sasaeng fan like the ones who stormed Raikâs house, getting the ajummaâs key wouldnât be that hard (she literally told them âdrink whatever you want! ).â So either the killer was someone really close to Raik, or a sasaeng who knew about his mental health struggles. Killing Wooseung would make Raik look guilty instantly. And tbh⊠Iâm also suspicious of those pills Raik takes. If fans can sneak into his house that easily, whatâs stopping someone from swapping his meds and making him worse?!
I'm on episode 6 and I really love this drama. The contrast between the two main characters is the heart of its charmđ„ GaYeongâs personality in is so unpredictableâit keeps things exciting. Suzy and Kim Woo-bin have clearly grown a lot as actors, and their chemistry is unique and genuinely lovely. The visual effects are way better than in dramas like Twelve.đ I just wish the male lead wasnât portrayed as a Iblis, and that theyâd been more thoughtful in how they used elements from other culturesâit would've made it easier to connect with the story. I also think this drama would've gained more attention if it had aired weekly. Dropping all episodes at once on Netflix wasnât the best move for a show like this.
Why would Jung I-shin, fresh out of prison, go straight to her sonâs house, knowing full well he wouldnât be home at that hour?I see two possibilities:
Either JungYeon is the copycat killer, and Yi-shin has figured it out,so sheâs come to confirm it, maybe even encourage her.
Or, as Iâve theorized before, SoYeulâs alternate personality (Jung-ho) has found a way to contact his mother(possibly using his position as a detective to reach her).Maybe heâs asking for her help in fully taking over SoYeulâs mind!If thatâs the case, I-shin might be trying to strike a deal with her sonâs darker side.
Why?
Because maybe she wants the stronger, more ruthless version of her son to win.
Maybe she sees JungHo as a mirror of herself, another version of the monster she once was!
Or maybe, like many psychopaths, sheâs simply enjoying the psychological game. (Though that last one feels unlikely, given her moments of maternal tenderness.)
But if this really is whatâs happening, SoYeul will be shattered from the inside. Heâll face a psychological conflict so intense, itâs something we rarely see in Kdramas!!
Iâve got a theory about the copycat murders. What if the copycat is actually SoYeul?
Maybe he developed dissociative identity disorder after witnessing things, his motherâs crimes, or even SoYeulâs breakdowns. This kind of disorder often stems from childhood trauma, and the alternate personality tends to be the complete opposite of the original(sometimes far more violent)Hereâs why I think itâs possible:
- SoYeulâs memories are fragmented. He doesnât even recall his fatherâs temper, and when he thinks of his mother, he only remembers the good parts. That could point to repression or dissociation.
- His exaggerated reactions support this. He sometimes loses control, gets irrationally angry. Jung-yoon even said he canât sleep well and keeps calling out for his mother at night.
- Most importantly, heâs obsessed with denying any resemblance to his mother. Heâs terrified of being like herEven avoids the idea of having children, afraid they might turn out like her. Itâs like heâs constantly suppressing a dark part of himself, while everyone else insists heâs more like her than anyone!
And the copycat seems to know SoYeulâs most intimate memories. So aside from MinJae and SoYeul himself, thereâs no other suspect.
But based on MinJaeâs behavior, he seems more like someone who admires SoYeul and his motherâsees them as his real family. If he were the killer, wouldnât his father be the first victim?!Sure, heâs always craved attention, but I donât think thatâs enough to make him a copycat killer. In the end, it might turn out like Soo Go-wanâhe only committed the final murder!
SoYeul is starved for even the smallest sign of affection from his mother. Thatâs why, the moment he realized her confession hinged on seeing him, he asked her(almost pleading): "Did you miss me? Were you worried about me?" Deep down, he desperately wanted to believe that she loved him just as much.
Honestly, I think some of the criticism toward Dong Yoonâs acting comes from the character heâs playing. So Yeul is stuck between loving and hating his mother, and Dong Yoon shows that emotional struggle really well, especially through those painful smiles and tearful moments! If viewers try to put themselves in So Yeulâs place and understand what heâs feeling, I think they might judge him less harshlyđ«¶
Just finished episode 3 and Iâm really enjoying both lead actors. Hyun Jung is doing a great job portraying a killer with a complex personality, and Dong Yoon shows So-Yeulâs emotional breakdown so powerfully.
Jung I Shin isnât like the usual Kdrama killers. Sheâs not cold or emotionlessâher maternal instincts and her need to protect her son are still alive and strong. Thatâs exactly why I sometimes wonder if sheâs really the one behind the murders or no?Like the detective said, the police didnât have solid evidence to prove her guilt.
Some blame BongSu for the death of SAâs mom!Thatâs truly unfair. BS, like any of us,only wanted to stop someone who clearly had no intention of letting go of their cruelty. He never meant to hurt SAâs family! Iâm sure the guilt will consume him after hearing about Generalâs deathđ In K-dramas, labels like âevilâ or âmonsterâ often carry conflicting meanings. Many of them remind us: donât judge people solely by their names or titles. To see all of BSâs actions as wicked just because of his nickname isnât right. If we look at him as a human being, his choices and behavior become much easier to understand. Honestly, I think this scriptâand its characters are far more complex than we ever gave them credit for.
Kind-hearted SeongAh always showed empathy toward spirits and people. She tried to understand them,to help them.I truly liked her character and still do. But she never felt that way about Bongsu. She never tried to help him or learn his story so she could understand himIn fact,no one ever tried to help BS! Everyone saw him as one with YH,when all he wanted was to stay away from YHâs darkness! If heâd found someone to lean on back then, he wouldâve never devoured GWđ BS,lonelier than ever after realizing he couldnât love or protect the one he cared for, made a choice he knew was wrong. Not to stay in GWâs body forever, but just to live comfortably and peacefully like even for a short while. It was a selfish wish, because that body belonged to GW,But from the very beginning, or even after he devoured GW,wouldnât it have been better to treat him with a little more kindness? I can understand SAâs anger and heartbreak for GW But BS, just like SA and GW, had never tasted a normal life either! He was craving even a flicker of love and comfort, yet they showed him not even the slightest bit of compassion(Iâm not saying SA shouldâve treated BS the same way she treated GW but at least she couldâve treated him like the other spirits she helped find peace) Bongsu even thought about Gyeon Wooâs futureâ he practiced archery, believing it meant everything to him. In the midst of pain and torture, he still tried to protect GW. BS never intended to kill him or take over his body forever!
I want to talk about Bongsu.Sometimes I think he's treated unfairly!BongSu-A student who-because of circumstances-was forced into war. He never got the chance to live like a regular kid: studying, playing with friends, feeling what ânormalâ even means. He died without ever tasting that kind of life. Also,he couldnât fulfill his best friendâs final wish, and spent years trapped in an abandoned house, tormented by guilt.Long after his death, YH found him,and promised heâd get one last chance to carry out his friendâs wishBut donât get it twistedâBongsuâs wish was never to become a dark god or serve Yeom Hwa.From the start, He just wanted to reach his little dreams. He absorbed the souls YH offered him.But honestly,we donât know for sure what went down bw BS and YH before he took over GWâs body. Maybe BS never meant to harm those people but he just wanted to live inside them for a while to return the ring to its rightful owner! He never tried to hurt anyone-not until SAâs aunt tried to kill him.Even then,he only meant to stop her⊠but they quickly seized his weakness to subdue him. And still, BS didnât complain. He never tried to fight back!

But thereâs another theory: What if that massacre wasnât actually his doing?
In episode 10, thereâs a scene where the kingâs mask is visually compared to Prince JeSanâs face.
And in the episode 11 preview, we see the rebels kidnapping JiYeongâthere must be a reason behind that.
The Lee Yi Heon clearly leaves the palace to save JiYeong.
So what if someone else wears the kingâs robes and mask and carries out the massacre?
If the king later says, âI wasnât in the palace,â would anyone believe him?!
Thatâs how Lee Yi Heon ends up punished as a tyrantâdespite following JiYeongâs advice.
Because of othersâ betrayal, heâs branded a monster and eventually dethroned and exiled.
History stays the same, but Lee Yi Heon gets destroyed for something he didnât even do đ
Personally?
If the kingâs going to be punished anyway, Iâd rather he takes down every single person who truly deserves it first.
I hate these women!
