What is there not to like…
It’s one of those Chinese short and sweet dramas, storyline is good, ML, 2ML and FL can convincingly act. The story flows well and there is a bit of a back story at episode 10 (Viki version).ML is on screen a good kisser and plays with his role with a passion that is gwell portrayed. OST is good and visually is the mini series well pleasing. I hope to see the ML in bigger production as he can act and is easy on the eyes.

Ridiculous Title, Surprisingly Addictive
I genuinely did not expect much going into this drama, especially with a title like The Night I Got Pregnant by the CEO, but surprisingly… I am actually really enjoying it so far.Currently on episode 5 out of 10, and it has turned into a very easy and entertaining binge-watch. Like many Japanese dramas, it moves quickly, does not drag unnecessarily, and knows exactly what kind of story it wants to tell. It leans fully into the romance-drama setup without taking itself too seriously, which honestly makes it more enjoyable.
The chemistry between the leads has been good so far, and the pacing keeps the episodes engaging enough that I kept clicking “next episode” without much effort. While the premise sounds completely over-the-top, the drama itself has enough charm to make it work.
It is definitely not a masterpiece, but sometimes you just want something entertaining, slightly chaotic, romantic, and easy to watch after heavier dramas.
So far: 7.5–8/10

A Drama That Feels Like Home-Cooked Comfort Food
Yummy, Yummy?Yummy! honestly felt like comfort food in drama form for me.I originally expected a light food drama, but what surprised me most was how much the food itself became part of the emotional storytelling. This is one of those dramas where meals are not just there to look pretty (although everything looks delicious and will absolutely make you hungry). Food becomes comfort, care, stress, connection, and sometimes even communication between the characters.
Some of my favourite moments were the quieter scenes in the kitchen — cooking after difficult days, sharing meals, the exhaustion and chaos during busy moments, and the way relationships slowly develop through food and small acts of care rather than big dramatic gestures. There were scenes where tension softened simply because someone cooked for another person, and I really loved that.
The father and especially the son can be quite silly and over-the-top at times, particularly in the beginning, which took me a little while to adjust to. Some of the humour felt a bit exaggerated early on, but as the drama progressed, it started to feel part of the charm and warmth of the overall atmosphere, and I honestly got quite attached to them.
The romance is also very slow burn. Do not expect intense romance early on, because the drama takes its time developing the relationships naturally. Personally, I think that worked well for this type of story, as it fit the softer and more comforting tone of the drama.
The atmosphere is probably what worked best for me overall. It feels warm, cozy, and surprisingly immersive. By the later episodes, I genuinely looked forward to seeing what they would cook next and enjoyed spending time with the characters. The found-family feeling and emotional warmth made it very easy to become attached.
The pacing is occasionally a little slow, and not every storyline felt equally strong, but for me that did not matter much because the overall feeling of the drama worked so well. It felt relaxing, comforting, and somehow made me both hungry and emotionally invested at the same time.
If you enjoy food-centred dramas with warmth, comfort, and relationships that develop naturally, this one is definitely worth watching.

A Fun Palate Cleanser After Heavy Dramas
After watching numerous heavier C- dramas lately, this was exactly the kind of easy and entertaining watch I needed. The Princess’s Bodyguard’s Love does not try to be overly deep or emotionally intense, and honestly that worked perfectly for me. It has a lighter, more playful vibe that made it very easy to relax and binge-watch.
The chemistry between the leads was enjoyable, the pacing stayed comfortable, and overall it was simply a fun watch when you want something less serious and more entertaining. While the male lead may not be the strongest actor, his performance still suited the lighter tone of the drama well enough.
That said, despite the lighter overall atmosphere, the drama does include darker themes and scenes involving suicide, child abuse within an orphanage setting, shootings, and attempted murder, so it may be worth checking trigger warnings beforehand if you are sensitive to those topics.
Not groundbreaking, but still a pleasant and entertaining watch overall.
7/10

When you dream becomes a nightmare
Wall to Wall was such a strong film — I enjoyed it all the way through, and it felt painfully realistic. It reflects modern housing struggles so well: buying a flat just to “get your foot onto the property ladder,” only to realise the stress doesn’t stop once you own it.The film really captures how living closely with others can become unbearable, especially with loud neighbours and constant noise that destroys your peace at home. I also liked how it showed the hierarchy between owners and renters, and how status changes the way people treat each other.
One part that really got to me emotionally was when he gambled his money. I was genuinely rooting for him and hoping everything would finally work out so he could pay off his debt, but that choice made the tension feel even heavier.
The story felt like it had two halves, but I stayed fully engaged. Just a warning: there is blood and violence, and things escalate in a dark way. Overall it’s gripping, meaningful, and very relatable.
Highly recommended.

A Strange Affair in Old Korea
A Case of Bachelor Abduction is one of those films that starts with an intriguing idea but doesn’t quite know what to do with it. Set in historical Korea, it follows a group of mischievous male students who become victims of a mysterious woman’s assault. Determined to uncover her identity, they launch a strange investigation full of peeping, spying, and awkward misunderstandings. At first, it feels like a light mystery with a comedic twist — something bold and different. The period setting is well done, and the costumes and atmosphere give the film some charm. There are a few funny and unpredictable moments that make it mildly entertaining.
But the tone is all over the place. What could have been a sharp or thought-provoking story ends up being an uneven mix of erotic farce and slapstick. The subject matter is handled too lightly, and the characters never grow beyond caricatures. By the end, it’s hard to know whether the film wanted to be a comedy, a mystery, or a social satire.
It’s not boring, but it’s definitely odd. A Case of Bachelor Abduction is a film that tries to be daring but ends up feeling confused — interesting in concept, but lacking depth or direction.

Confused by the Story, Intrigued by the Idea
Tale of Cinema was quite a confusing watch for me. It took a while to realize that the **first part is actually a film within the film**, while the **second part follows the real people behind it**. Once I understood that, things made more sense, but it still felt emotionally distant and hard to engage with. The concept is interesting — showing how cinema and reality can blur, and how someone might try to live out what they see on screen. However, the pacing is very slow, and the story drifts without much emotional connection. The performances are subtle, but the overall tone feels detached.
There are thoughtful ideas about regret, obsession, and imitation, but the execution left me more puzzled than moved. It’s clever in theory, but not something I’d call enjoyable. I think it would worked well in a book.
A smart idea that doesn’t quite work. Worth a watch only if you’re into Hong Sang-soo’s unique storytelling style.

A Tight, Smart Thriller That Keeps You Guessing
The Vanished is a well-crafted mystery thriller that wastes no time pulling you in. From the very beginning, the tension builds steadily, and there’s never a dull moment. The story is tightly written, filled with clever twists and turns that keep you second-guessing everyone’s motives until the final reveal. The direction and pacing are spot on — nothing feels dragged out, and every scene adds something to the bigger picture. The performances are solid, especially from the leads, who manage to keep the emotions believable while maintaining the suspense. The atmosphere stays dark and intense, which suits the story perfectly.
If you like thrillers that make you think and keep you hooked till the very end, this one definitely delivers. A sharp, exciting watch that’s both entertaining and satisfying — **10/10** from me.

A Commoner’s Heart Behind the King’s Mask”
*Masquerade* is an elegant and emotionally rich historical film that blends royal intrigue, humor, and heartfelt drama with remarkable finesse. The story follows a humble commoner who bears an uncanny resemblance to the king. When the real monarch falls ill after a poisoning attempt, the double is secretly brought in to take his place — setting off a fascinating journey of identity, power, and conscience.
Lee Byung-hun gives an incredible dual performance. He captures both the paranoia and coldness of the real king, and the warmth and sincerity of the double who unexpectedly becomes a more compassionate ruler. His transformation feels genuine and deeply moving.
The cinematography is stunning — rich in candlelight and intricate palace details — giving every scene a regal, immersive quality. The direction and pacing keep the story engaging from start to finish, with just the right balance of humor and tension.
If there’s one small drawback, it’s that some secondary characters could have been explored a little more. Still, the emotional core and moral message shine through beautifully.
Overall, ***Masquerade*** is a powerful and human take on leadership and empathy — visually pleasing and performed with heart.

Master piece, everyone should watch about the impact of bullying
I came across this film through a social media recommendation without really knowing what to expect, and I'm glad I gave it a chance. It tackles a very tough subject but manages to present it in a way that feels surprisingly hopeful. As the film portrayed, bullies are never happy and when the person that they bullied is no more, they move on to the next person. What struck me the most was how everyone in the class was aware of the bullying and its victims, yet no one ever stepped up or spoke out—everyone just suffered in silence.
I really appreciated the storyline between the female lead (FL) and male lead (ML). Both characters had difficult childhoods, marked by neglect and abandonment from their parents, which gave their relationship a depth rooted in shared pain and growth. It's definitely a film I'd watch again.

Interesting court case
Ended up watching this film about a husband who got murdered and the wife who was found guilty. Or was she not guilty? There is the sister in law who wants to take the niece, who also deals with narcotics, or was it the person who she met in the car park.Quite enjoying, with a very good defence and storyline.
Rewatchable, for sure .

Travelling through time and space 3x times
Short story, short and sweet, enjoyed it very much and will be watching more of the ML/FL.The chemistry was good between the leads . ML was very good acting as the 28 year old and playing the younger self as a 21 year old, both very convincingly. Great actor with a proper kissing scene.
Historical drama that involves time travel, going back a few times. Acting was very good and the set was very
convincing, with a bit wear and tear here and there. The OST was quite fitting and overall the visual was pleasing . Would definitely watch again.

Short and pleasant
Wanted to watch something short and found this on IQIYI and have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The acting was good, I didn’t get bored in between, and there was chemistry between the actors. The ending was a bit abrupt and maybe there will be a second season in the future? Whole set and costume was very pleasing on the eyes .Was this review helpful to you?

Dark film that is all about giving hope and happiness
This was different than what I usually watch. It was despite the dark subjects of parental abuse, bullying by class mates and sexual abuse by her weird teacher a goodprogram to watch.
The Kidnapper, who it turns out was not really a Kidnapper as the FL went willingly with him, after being saved from drowning by him.
The ML was struggling with his demons, but was able to give the FL a reason to live, give her hope and give her happiness. FL never had received affection before like a pat on the head and he was being very respectful and taken care of her.
The ending was satisfying , would watch again if the opportunity arises.
