It was better than I expected

It really was.

After reading some other reviews I wasn't sure what I would be getting myself into, but I was pleasantly surprised. Its no masterpiece, don't try to compare it with KinnPorsche, as even though there are enough similarities - the vibe is just different. This may even be more violent than KP in some aspects as Kamol is far more brutal and quick to terminate than Kinn. Kamol is pretty scary, but even a scary man can fall head over heels and that he did.

The thing with this drama is the pacing isn't the best - and looking at it, the director may be the one at fault because the actors here are pretty good at acting. The 2 leads did a good job but the pacing/counting that the director demands, does throw them off in some places, but they powered on. The supporting cast is fun, more so Kamol's people than Kim's (they pretty much just existed for the sake of existing, I don't even understand why Sammy took her role). The actors in Kamol's crew looked as if they really enjoyed what they were doing. Also, some actors are clearly better than others, but aside from "Baiboon" - whose smiling freaked me out 100% of the time, everyone held their own because I do believe certain awkward traits shown had more to do with character than actor.

The story is nothing complicated. I haven't read the web novel, but after watching I want to read it because there is definitely enough going on with these characters to make for a bigger story, maybe some serious angst if that's your thing (I like angst so - my thing). As it stands, minus the violence its actually a fluffy/lighter vibe. While the synopsis given implies that heavy BDSM is involved, it really isn't. Yes, its a major aspect of the connection between the 2 leads but the series kept the act itself fairly mellow. Also so did the actors because the faces they made will have you in a laughing fit.

I would for sure recommend this to anyone who doesn't take everything seriously. It a bit of a gem.

Always Remember: To each his own

I for sure enjoyed this. I came for the actors and got sucked into the story which was actually pretty decent. I saw comments about the storyline being either awful or there was no storyline...huh? You can either watch this and take away something pretty deep, or you take it as just another kind of action, horror. It totally depends on you and how you perceive things.

The acting is 100%

The storyline: If you're someone who hates anything religious, then stay away. As the depth of this story is about someone coming to terms with his relationship with God due to an incident that happened when he was younger. Throw that in with demons and exorcisms, it definitely won't be everyone's cup of tea.

Music: The only thing it really lacked for me was a good music score, but then as a horror movie I guess that is to be expected. It was basic horror/action sounds.

Rewatch Value: I would for sure put this on rotation for horror movie nights. I suggest watching when its raining nicely and there is some thunder.

I'm very glad that I didn't pass it by due to the low reviews. Sometimes you really just have to jump in for yourself.

After 3 tries..it definitely won me over

The ending is the best possible one there could have been. Anything else would have been a fantasy and lala land. As long as this drama was, there was never a dull moment, every scene meant some thing, every character was significant...which I adored. Perhaps this could have been different had "communication" been a legit thing, but it seems in this era...it was all half messages and truths and expectations.

All said, it took me 3 times to really settle down and say, yes let me knock this out....it's only 70 episodes, but it was really worth it.

Flaws were not a result of anyone's acting, which was astounding (although the whole voice change and need to whisper in the most unnecessary amounts was slightly annoying). Flaws were due to the characters themselves and well, that drove the story. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who can deep dive into a hard core historical drama ..it's gets better and better.
