While their plots aren't that similar to each other, they have a similar countryside setting and take place during a similar time of year. Both films have this cozy and comforting feel to them and tell a story about queer love, as well as familial love. Both stories introduce alternative family types: the other lead in Restart After Come Back Home is adopted and His deals with the struggles of wanting to raise a kid as a queer couple. Due to them both featuring gays in the countryside and just having a similar vibe, I think if you liked one, you'd like the other as well.
