In fact, that desire for revenge was wearing him down, and it wasn’t just that—all that guilt he’d been carrying inside for years was also like a slow-acting poison for him. And honestly, reading the ending and watching that one scene, I had the feeling that it was only that meeting with his mother and brother, and the words he allowed him to finally free himself from that guilt. At least, that’s how I interpret the final chapters.

Let me put it this way: in my opinion, this is the most faithful to the original and the best-crafted adaptation I’ve seen since I started watching BL.
