Another reason is that they breakup because Yi Jin doesn't want to hurt Hee do like he hurt Yu Rim... So he tells Na hee doo to breakup and he might have left her....

If there is no strong reason to convince the viewers for their breakup it's gonna affect badly....

I was hoping if they breakup because of his profession as a News reporter he might unintentionally hurt Na hee doo which will lead to a breakup...
But in this case he unintentionally hurt Yu rim instead of Hee do.. So i don't think this hurting phase is gonna repeat again like this.....

It's about why the drama has this ending... They need to convince the watchers by strong reasons for the ending....
If happens that will be the worst ending ever....
