It started really slow and sort of on the boring side, but then I got sucked into this vortex of cutest slowburn. Beautiful example where you can show intense feelings without showing much skin (although special thanks for episode 6, it was wonderfully made). Except for weird older brother and mafia boss, everyone is so nice and reasonable and adult - they communicate their feelings, they make resonable decisions and it's so rare and so nice to see. Another rare sight are decent and wholsesome female characters, which are normally flat hysterical bitches, but not here, so thank you for that. Product placement makes most sense since they are the store and basically the only series where these obviously sponsored products make sense. Learning languages is also celebrated so that's really nice to see. There a great deal of plotholes, but I forgive those and clichés for warm cute feeling the series leave.
I'm also looking for it and can't find it.... Please if anyone can help!
I am also looking for it! There is OST listed in the end credits and I believe this song is called "LoveBerry", the singer Ki Myu, but google shows no results, so is Shazam and pretty much everywhere I looked. Please let me know if someone finds it! It's a very nice song, I would love to have it on my playlist.
this comment section here is a perfect example for swarming. the hate of these bullies is palpable. they are in…
I love Mew very much, I find him extremely good looking to the point I developed an unhealthy crush, but these series are just really REALLY bad. I was really looking forward to more Mew content, but alas I get this disappointment. It's not because of hate or bullying, it's just realistically very low quality series. Really sad to admit it as Mew's fan.
I think at this very moment Mew is the most beautiful Thai actor I have seen, there is something unfathomably mesmerizing about him, but man these series are just really bad. Someone wrote a comment "Korea never fell so low before" on my streaming website and I can't stop laughing. The writing is just bad, no storyline is ever logical, like everything they begin is just dropped. Vet that sponsors animal café with one sick dog? The dog was breathing hard because it felt overheated, I wanted to give him water, poor baby! The headphones that magically translate Korean?? 🙈🙈 Everything is just wrong. Someone please give Mew a good role in a good movie. He would be darling at BL with good couple with build up and some chemistry. They both looked so uncomfortable here kissing. Also why did they even do it in the first place??? They hated each other and just clicked? Ugh. And finally - why is it "love is like a cat"?!!? No cats or explanations provided.
The cocktail making scene isn't only in KP. I could name a lot of other shows with that kind of scene. The jungle…
The problem is not the scene where someone makes a cocktail, the problem is it is exactly the same with clothes, dialogue and moves. Does the Jungle cocktail making scene has bartender in black shirt guessing what female guests want and kissing a hand scene?
It’s just too silly and cringe for me. The overtop ‘funny’ approach didn’t work for me. There really wasn’t…
You forgot the fourth couple - the girl got herself a boyfriend, but I didn't get how that happened, lol. I agree on everything you say and I was also wondering why someone rich/handsome/nice/smart/popular like Nuea would even look at someone like Toh, but then they show it - he is an exhibitionist, he openly gets off off Toh stalking him and taking pictures and looking at them etc. I believe it would be more obvious if Toh wasn't doing this over the top clownery. And considering they are playing very young characters, it makes watching this all even cringier.
The show doesn't really normalize but rather explains it in it's own way. No one in the show fully condones his…
He likes it because he is exhibitionist finding himself a voyer. If this was I dunno office or any other setting featuring two adult characters, that would probably be an interesting niche kink, but 2 school children? Omg. That's completely off for me.
I'd maybe have been willing to try and push through more of this show if the comments didn't show that it's actively…
The romantization of clinically unhealthy behavior is getting out of hand. Some people say that they feel secondhand embarrassment but I am personally appaled by it.
very simple. because there was a scandal between actress and actor from the company (leaked record of them kissing…
Wow, man, chill. I am mature enough, trust me, and very experienced viewer. I watch more than most people, I really enjoy series and movies from all over the world all my life, I even write reviews, scenarios, host a movie club, etc. I can professionally pick apart why these series are bad from the point of storytelling, writing, dialogues, camera angles, acting, directing, etc. But I just said that I don't like it because it makes me physically sick to watch such a mentally ill person on screen. I don't want to explain it to you psychology wise, but I studied psychology at the university so please don't force my hand so to speak. Herr Freud would love it. You imagined too many things about me, so please hear this without any malice or accusation, or desire to offend you - you are seriously overthinking it and being over dramatic over something as unimportant as internet comment. The friend who suggested the series to me is one of my best friends ever and our tastes in BL are normally 90% the same, hence anything my friend suggests I watch, because I know we think alike and the rec would be very good. You are probably onto something with young adult content, because age wise I am not falling into this category, and I prefer more mature and elaborated stories. But the truth is anyone who is making such content are also very very adult people. School children are not making series about school children for school children and I personally think that is the key problem because adults decide what kids should like, but let's don't go there. I don't know the Thai BL industry good enough to know all of the Idol factory projects, but quick search showed The Sign which I enjoyed a lot. Was it perfect? Absolutely not, I can name a gazillion flaws and ways it could be better but I rated it 9.5 on MDL because it was honestly entertaining. The purpose of audio-visual content as you name it, is not only to produce art for art's sake, but also to entertain. There are even worse series, for example Cutie Pie, which is pure young adult nonsense, it's realistically so bad, but I always name it as one of my favorite Thai Bls, because it was so entertaining! Even Oscar winning movies are not all very good, and some are just not to my taste, and guess what? THAT IS OKAY. It is okay that we are all different and we like different things. Secret crush is just something I strongly dislike that's it. There is no need to get angry or offended by it, no need to look into people's personal relationships, no need to project things onto others. It's just an opinion of one of 8.1 billion people of this world. Chill. Breathe. It's all gonna be alright.
And finally - why is it "love is like a cat"?!!? No cats or explanations provided.
