This drama is really bad...bad acting from the leads, annoying costumes, boring storyline...nothing special, it doesn't make me crave for new episodes, doesn't make me feel attached to the characters...CGI is like 2D cartoon...

Honestly, AoL was one of the first xianxia I ever watched. So, when I watched it, I had no expectation, no prior trauma, nothing. So, I really liked it. And yeah, I was a victim of Runyu too...LYX was really stunning there. But if I would to watch AoL now, when I already watch TTEOTM, or already watched a few xian xia with stupid FL...it might be hard for me to continue.
But honestly, if you can get over it, AoL is still the most iconic for me...I love it...in fact, I re-watched it 3x...it really leaves such a scar in my heart...I remembered crying at nights for a few nights, thinking about how horrible the FL's life was...the most pitiful FL I guess...

I fell for LYX for the first time in this drama! But, the same applied to Yang Zi and Deng Lun. I love these three so much, especially when I watched their BTS. Honestly, I feel the chemistry of DL and LYX, and YZ and LYX so much. I love them and these three characters. This drama gave me PTSD, I got so desperate towards the ending...I was really really sad...

LYX fell for the FL first - yes
But...the major red flag is...the FL never fell for LYX, hahahahaha

I feel like I don't get enough of TTJ at early stage...I miss the naive TTJ who didn't know how to 'feel'... I miss the process of TTJ understanding 'feelings'...all those face reaction of LYX...so priceless!
