Haha, I think they kept this essence of 'surprise' since old time. Like, when you watched drama, you didn't expect the god/goddess to be the villain and they wanted it to be unpredictable. But then it had been used too many times, there was no longer surprise in it...lol. In fact, the dream arc is probably the only time where all the gods/goddess are truly good in a drama...that was surprising to me, haha...
