I always said that she acted like she didn’t love her son since she allowed such terrible abuse to happen to him and did absolutely nothing to help him.

I said that jokingly but you never know but I do agree with Bloomingtide - I believe they were trying to capitalize on the popularity of the drama by making it more outrageous except they failed to realize how infuriated their fan base would be on such major changes to main characters.

She can’t prove it though. That’s the problem. She documented NOTHING. she didn’t file a police report. She didn’t get a restraining order. She left a note telling her family not to look for her with no indication of why she left. For all intents and purposes it just looks like she ran away because she was tired of everyone and wanted a new life. There is no crime in that. And JH showing up, by law, is not a crime either because he hasn’t harmed her physically. She is living with someone who was trying to fraud/scam others so a court won’t look at that favorably either. She really screwed up by running away imo.

Her running away and being on the run will go against her though because she isn’t providing a stable home life for the child. Without her support system, she cannot say her family will help because she abandoned them all. That won’t work in her favor.

The only yuck factor is I can see him calling SJ for help and the thought of her even touching that baby is revolting. 🤮

Exactly. An 8 year old would have been expressing sorrow at missing her beloved aunt. But YM has nothing to be embarrassed about so why would she hide who her family is? Any one would have slipped and mentioned their family names in a whole year. Did DW not ever say “hey, your last name is Gong! So was my BIL’s! I miss him! He really took care of my sister when she was pregnant - he’s a doctor! ” Give. Me. A. Break!

At this point I am willing to bet he will get the baby then realize just how hard it is to raise one.

No one is mad that she left, it ‘s the WAY she did it! You don’t cut off your support system. TK would have helped her, she could have still stayed in touch with him and her family via emails, video chats, and he could have visited her - but running from place to place with a child in tote is NOT the best for this baby. She has no stable life because she is constantly looking over her shoulder. And babies pick up on your moods and emotions. Postpartum depression is a given in various degrees anyway because your hormones are fluctuating again after birth. Even women in the best postpartum care have postpartum depression. Nope, this is all on the writers - they have taken characters almost to the finish line and decided to change and rewrite their whole profile.

This really makes me doubt that TK is her son more and more.

At this point she makes me feel like she is one of those characters that will do crap just to gain sympathy. You hit the nail on the head - she abandoned her WHOLE SUPPORT SYSTEM. You want me to believe a single, pregnant woman will run off to have her baby alone, live alone (living with another woman is not protection when she has TK, and uncle, and a brother all perfectly capable of beating the snot out of anyone harassing her), with NO PROTECTION FROM ANYONE and keep running from place to place with her child, always looking over her shoulder, is a better option because she is scared? This from the same woman who smashed a cake in this jerk’s face and kneed him the groin at the beginning and wrote all over TK’s car? Yeah, the writer screwed this character up. They didn’t make her stronger after giving birth, they made her weak as hell and as a mom you can’t be weak
