I dont think she loves Gi Chan - there are two ways I can look at this: 1. She only wanted him because he was married to Jae In (that is if you believe he married Jae In first and only met Se Ri at their wedding) OR 2. She is using him to extract her revenge - she met him first, "married him" (while already married to husband #1?) , and they concocted a plan for him to take over the YL Group by marrying into the Kang family.
I tend to lean toward the 2nd scenario - we still do not know much about when exactly they met (Jae In has said they met at her's and Gi Chan's wedding but I find it hard to believe he would get married then rush to the US in time to have an affair and get another woman pregnant so close to the date of his consummation with his new wife and her subsequent pregnancy as well) - so that means there could be a whole story of them meeting. The only reason I lean toward this scenario is because of what Gi Chan said to Jae In the day he had her committed to the asylum - "Your FIRST mistake was marrying me." That implies she was targeted.
All of that said, she needs a way to get rid of him too when she gets YL Group from him - her ultimate goal is to have it all! She doesnt want him, she wants the company. That is all that is left for her to take control of that belongs to the Kang family.

What is it with the Korean mom's not wanting their kids to be involved with anyone who has been married before? Her own daughter was a single mom - you'd think she would be more open to letting them find love again, no matter if they had been married before or not! How would she have felt if her daughter had fallen in love but the other mother wasn't accepting of her because she had a child already? Just really really odd, imo.

Sorry but I don't think her dad can be blamed for this one - she obviously was an adult when she married Gi Man - and a lot of women tend to feel trapped in abusive relationships so I am not going to say anything about her staying as long as she did. Could she have afforded to have left? Yes, as a doctor she made enough to live on her own. But I do think she loved Gi Man at the beginning and she probably cycled through the whole gamut of emotions in her 7 year marriage of thinking she could change him - we saw how he manipulated her with love bombs - then gets drunk and becomes mean when things aren't going his way. Most women come to a conclusion they cannot change the person and their best bet is to leave - which is where she is now. The cycle of abuse has permeated that household and her dad doesn't know what he doesn't know - she obviously was a smart woman who went to school and got good enough grades to become a doctor - she had to go through internship - so it isnt as if she wasn't a strong person - but for whatever reason she wanted to be loved by Gi Man and probably thought he would change but ended up in a nightmare marriage - and we dont know how long she has been enduring this - seems like he was successful at some point early on then made some bad investments that spiraled him down farther. For me, I could have never lived with his mom - the mom is what has torn that whole family apart at the seams.

I can't look past the part of depriving her son if his father - he had a right to know . I dont see her act of abandoning her son as one of courage but rather selfishness. And she slipped yesterday - this is not about her son inheriting - it is about HER inheriting THROUGH her son - "YL Group is MINE" - that is exactly what she said. And she was very hot under the collar so it wasnt like she was calm and collected to the point that she said that to cover up sayin "YL Group is my son's" - because then she would have had to explain to Philip who her son was - and we can bet she will claim down the road he is her ex's son. No she was angry and she blurted it out - so her words were telling imo.

Gi Man questioned his birth again today - those types of things are typically not noted over and over unless we are suppose to take note - something is definitely up with his birth - the mom always treats him like crap and treats gi chan like he is the favored first born - i am wondering if he is the result of an affair that mom had, not dad…….or he isnt even her son.

ok so i thought all this time that se ri knew but i think i confused it with the scene where she overheard gi man and ku gyeong talking about the kidnapping - so i guess it is one secret se ri dies not know yet. - give it time, she will find out.
