that is exactly why i have a really hard time watching anything Esther Yu is in - her whiny baby voice just annoys me. Ok so the sweet fluffy dramas are out but hopefully he can still do some other type of romance dramas.
Actors always want to stretch themselves into various types of roles -I get why he is tired of playing the same old typecast character. He wants to break out of the mold and do other stuff. You can’t grow if you are stuck in the same place.
