From the same novelist who wrote "The Killing of Three Thousand Crows" (drama Love of Thousand Years) and "The Glass Maiden" (drama Love and Redemption). Sounds promising but we'll see.
Ah. I see what you mean. I actually heard Wang Juan did change the plot quite a bit from what the novel but keep important parts to keep the essence of the novel. I guess we are expecting some twists. We'll see.
I doubt Wang Juan will let it derail, maybe not exactly like the novel but knowing the cast (mostly original cast) and his previous work, I am expecting the 2nd one will be another masterpiece.
Best of the best and with the best ending! No unexplained someone came back from the death, no cliffhanger, no imagination, just perfect ending. 200% better than PA - I feel their chemistry is a lot stronger this time. For me this is Jiu Lu Fei Xiang's best adaption. Now, any chance for 3rd collab? Modern maybe? As long as we don't have to wait another 7 years!
It's too early for me to completely move on but can someone tell - are there other big productions with good actors…
Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red-Moon Pact, and Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Love in Pavilion. Red Moon Pact should come out soon, and most likely iqiyi won't release it back to back, but hopefully we still get to see Love in Pavilion this year.
Issues of this show - in the first 3 episodes, a formidable general who is feared by immortals decides to fight…
You are watching 3 episodes and already came up with weak conclusion? Give me a break. And your conclusion is not even right - are you sure you are watching this? She didn't fall in love with him because he can cook. Duh. She fell in love because even though she is a formidable general as you said, she is still a woman. He is the only person who treats her not like the general but he took care of her. And even though it's not shown who is he yet in the first 3 episodes, you could have guessed he is not just a weak mortal. But seriously. If you can't even follow along the first 3 episodes, might as well just drop this. It will get even more complicated and you will end up cursing the plot without understanding the real story.
I donβt get the Wu Geng and A Gou thing are they 2 different people what did I miss?
Just keep watching. If you are not familiar with fantasy drama, then this is your clue: when you see same person play 2 different roles, somehow they are related. Could be reincarnation, split soul, hidden spirit etc.
Out of curiosity why people are complaining, I started to watch ep 1 for a few minutes (don't have time yet to watch) and I feel CGI is ok. I didn't watch the anime so don't have other expectation. I just don't like the costume but found out about it since they day they were filming so I already set my expectation this won't be that "pretty" drama. Voice, I caught a bit not sync between lips and voice (it's actually during Peter Ho's line) but the voice itself including RJL doesn't bother me. The director is a seasoned director who also did The Untamed. I will definitely start watching this.
I'm a little confused. The title says Legend of the Condor Heroes, but from reading the synopsis, it looks like…
Looks like we will be getting a different twist, but still about Guo Jing. He's always been the defender of Xiang Yang but toward the end of the story from the other adaptations (after he's married to Huang Rong).
