This is chinese drama for heaven's sake and I've been watching for more than decades. Are you really expecting hot kiss or what? Even with romance scenes most likely it will be a light kiss if there is any. Or maybe not even kiss scenes. Many romance chinese drama don't even have kiss scenes. Besides it was her decision to take the role, who the hell are you to judge her? If her role disgust you even before you watch then pleassssse skip this drama and move on.

That's my point - people are already complaining about the age different or how Ai Mi is too young even before watching the drama lol. Give them a chance, see if they can beat the expectation, or not. Liu Yi Fei was only 18, I think, not much older than Ai Mi when she had her first romance drama + kiss.

I am guessing you are not familiar with Ren Jia Lun's work? Well, he had kiss scenes in The Blue Whisper, The Demon Hunter's Romance and The Glory of Tang Dynasty. A quick internet search would give you that information. But no, the low rating has NOTHING to do with the kiss or no kiss, but the problem is with the story and plot. Nothing to do with the actors or the actresses, I would blame the screen writer.
