I haven't read the original novel, but based on what I found, it's more imperial / palace story. Besides, the original story is Japanese, so I don't think it can be transformed into xianxia drama - which is very true Chinese culture. Will be very interesting to see the crossover :)

He left me such strong memories from his antagonist role in SSS and JOL 1and2 - can't say I hated his characters there but he was just different. Very dramatic - each movement seems to be very theatrical. It's nice to see a change and watch him as the good guy in TPOB
