tbh i noticed most c dramas nowadays do this. They always bring in "strong" FLs and then extinguish all their personality and skills. But the fact that her personality changed that drastically from a child that doesn't blink at a massacre to a goofy girl in adulthood?

I didn't even make it past ep 1 lol . I di think cdramas for most historical ones at least, nowadays they're rinsing and repeating old tropes and plots. Sad cause I used to love watching them but now most dramas are the same plot, same characters, same "plot twist" etc.

she doesn't need saving right now maybe, but I'm just predicting that's the path that will occur like it usually does when they take a serious plot and try to add a "fiesty strong" FL. Writers tend to reverse the character development nowadays for FLs

The fact that the FL as a child didn't even tremble or cry after witnessing her family slaughtered but wants revenge didn't seem convincing at all, especially since the show doesn't even back up her personality or IQ/EQ to maybe provide a reason for her mature or serious tones as a child. I can already tell they're gonna dumb down the FL and make her a pretty face that needs to be saved by ML or make her into an irritating character that jumps to conclusions with emotional outbursts that need to be cleaned up by ML... smh... the plot seemed way better than what's been shown. I was expecting a serious drama with deep emotions but this is a very 'casual?' feel.
