I don't think Totono and Garou will end up as a couple, if they do it will be a pleaszant surprise. I understand your wish to see more LGBTQ representation in Japanese media. Fortunately, asian dramas this past year have been representing more characters that belong to the LGBTQ community so there is hope.

They got somethig going on , I am sorry to all garo/totonou non-shippers but there is chemistry between them and a mutual interest ( Tho I also liked him with Raika too and I was sad to find out that she does not exist). Totonou said that he was never attracted to girls or guys which makes me believe he is demi-ace .

I was waiting for his back story all this time since they hinted on it so much but we did not get the whole story. I guess is safe to assume there will be a new season.

I loved this drama so much, Totono was sure a unique and a very refreshing main chatacter. I loved him from the first moment he appeared on screen. And for some reason I can't help but ship him with Garou, they got chemistry and they are both so interested in each other lol

I definitely need a second season and I wish to know more about Totono's past.

Totally agree, most people are into romance or fantasy so hidden gems like through the darkness go unoticed because people do not watch thrillers as much. I am happy the rating went up when the series was over but it certainly deserves more attention. I can't express how good that drama was. Definitely my favorite drama in 2022 so far.

That is why I don't trust ratings. Through the darkness was so good but it did not get the attention it deserved.

It's been a year since this aired and it is still my favorite korean drama. I miss it so much.
