I also had the same thoughts. Shin Woo bulit a wall to protect himself and keep Tae away. His discussion with Tae in ep 12 confirmed it. He said that once you close off your heart its hard to open up again. Because of what happened in middle school he clossed off his heart and tried to ignore his feelings. He thought that if he kept being mean, Tae would eventually go away and maybe his feelings would also go away. However, things for him did not go as planned. Tae would always make an effort to approach Shin woo and in ep 3 he even helped him to stand up against the bullies. Then later Tae asked him if it was hard to draw a line between himself and others. I think that's when Shin Woo started having second thoughts about the way he was dealing with his feelings. He replied to Tae that there's no way he would like him but in reality he was trying to convince himself not to give in to his feelings. When he went home he called him to thank him for helping him and that's when he decided to accept his feelings and open up. Despite his decision to change Shin Woo is still shy and it is hard for him to say what he wants to say. That is why he did not find the courage to give to Tae the box with the bandaids he had prepared for him since the morning, The reason he was so jealous in ep 5 was because Da-on was getting closer with Tae and was always a step ahead of him. Shin woo had finally decided to open up but things were not easy for him. He was mad at himself for not handling things well in the beginning which led to misunderstandings concerning his relationship with Tae. It was hard for him to accept his feelings but once he did Tae was developing a crush on Da-on.
I don't think it's weird that we check the page despite the series being over. I keep re-watching the series and it is really entertaining cause since I have already watched it, it is easier for me to find hints and analyze the characters. The motives ,the bevaviour and the decisions each character makes are clearer the more you watch.
For anyone who wonders why Shin Woo was mean to Tae at first, the actor said that Shin Woo did not want to experience pain again but the more they got involved the more he liked it and his feelings grew stronger.
I think I first saw him in beyond evil. He was an annoying reporter. When I saw him in light on me I did not recognize him until some people pointed it out.
He really has tried many different roles. Hope he gets to be the main lead in more dramas since he is really talented.
They are the most comfortable KBL couple. They are so clingy to each other. Especially Lee Sae on. Yooseok was also very eager to film the kiss scene and Lee Sae on was shy. They are so cute both on and off camera. They really have great chemistry and seem close.

This drama really teaches us many things concerning friendship, love and self-respect. It did a great job portraying all of that considering the time limit and the fact the love triangle is its main focus .

Except for expressing himself 🤣, but he got there too slowly. I mean look at him in ep 1 and in ep 16. He was able to tell that he likes Tae directly without getting shy.

Spending more time with Tae and comforting him is more important to him. Tae is indeed lucky to have him.
