Shin woo definitely knows how to maintain a balance not only between a lover and a friend but in every situation. In the first ep when the teacher was introducing the three members of the council he described Noh Shin Woo as someone incredible who controls the other members. Shin Woo is all about balance. He observes and acts accordinlgy. He is really mature for his age.

I love how in the recommendations of the series there is the movie daytime shooting star. While I was watching light on me the manga of hirunaka no ryuusei came to mind a lot. It really felt like the bl version of it. The reason why I love Shin Woo so much was because he reminded me of Mamura who is one of my biggest crushes in fiction. Both of them are shy and awkward beans who will do anything for love.

yes! I totally agree! He is so selfless to the point of getting hurt for his love and then hurt us viewers cause we see his pain and feel it.
I guess texting him was a way for him to cope and also master up the courage. Cause everytime he texted something the next day he would put his feelings into words and tell Tae. For example, he texted Tae that it was raining that day and that he should not walk in the rain. The next day he asked him if he was caught in the rain since it rained.
Another time, when he was jealous and Tae thought he hated him, he texted him '' I don't hate you, I am just a fool, don't get hurt.''
And then later he told him'' I don't hate you, I never did''. Shin Woo was making an effort all this time to express himself but Tae never realized. He had to see the texts to figure out the truth and get aware of Shin Woo's feelings.

I get what you mean, there are many bls who focus mostly on skinship and stuff but there are also others who deal with serious issues or emotions. You just need to do a little re-search and find what you are looking for.

Shin Woo is one of the best male leads in a romance for me. He uncoditionally loves Tae but he never forced his feelings or himself onto him. He was respectful towards everyone around him including himself. He is an angel on earth ❤️

That kiss was really passionate, beautiful and filled with love. Even Yooseok (actor of Shin Woo) said that it showed Shin Woo's love.
Since the beginning , all Shin Woo has ever wanted was to be close to Tae. I was already in tears just by watching Shin Woo's smile when Tae chose him. Imagine my reaction to the kiss. Shin Woo's quite, patient, uncoditional and selfless love worked out in the end and his feelings are finally reciprocated. The person he loves loves him back and their feelings are mutual. How beautiful and satisfying is that!

When Tae said to Shin Woo '' it is hard to get the peson I like to like me back right?'' I could feel the pain in his eyes! He was familiar with that feeling. The person he likes likes someone else.
Also when Tae mentioned their first meeting that night Shin Woo thought for a second that Tae remembered their actual first meeting.I coud see it in his eyes. Too bad Tae never remembered. I wonder if Shin Woo will ever tell him. If they make a season 2 they need to adress their actual first meeting and we need to see Tae finding out the truth.

One of the things I love about Light on me is that it shows that love is the same for everyone, no matter their sexual orientation. Apart from the discrimination and homophobia that people of the LGBTQ community have to face sometimes due to consrvative society and people, everyting else is the same.
The love, the longing,the yearning, the pain, the uncertainty, the joy, the happiness, the stress and all of the feelings you are going through when you are in love are the same for everyone. I think light on me did a beautiful job of portraying sincere and pure love. Unlike many bls ( I am looking at you thai bls) who focus on skinship to attract and satisfy the fujoshis, light on me put emphasis on emotions and it managed to capture the feeling of love and show to its viewers that love is equal for everyone.
I have mentioned before that this series is on par with straight romances because of the way it's executed. It defies most of the bl stereotypes and it follows the formula of a usual teen romance. There was never any need of excessive bed scenes and too much skinship to show us that any of the characters are in love. All they needed was emotions. Just a stare from Shin Woo was enough to see and realize the longing and the love he feels and and conveys through his eyes.

This series is a roller coaster of emotions, if you have not watched it you should definitely give it a chance if you are fan of romance series.
I am kinda envious of the people who will be able to binge this since they will not have to go through the anxiety and pain like us who had to wait for new eps. On the other hand, waiting for new eps gave you the chance to have discussions here in the comment section about the upcoming episodes and come up with theories. It was fun interacting with everyone here and it added to the whole experiece of watching the series. Waiting for new episodes also made me more attached to the characters and series than it would have if I had binged it. So I am grateful I was able to watch it while it was still on air. I lost 10 years of my life waiting for new eps every time but when the series was over it added 20 years to my lifespan so it was okay lol. The only problem now is that I am left here craving for more.
If you are a fan of bls then you should definitely check it out. If you are not a fan of bls but love romance then again you should definitely check it out. It does not matter if it's love between a boy and boy, between a girl and another girl, or between a boy and a girl. Love is love and it is a human emotion.

The director likes playing with our emotions. It seemd that Tae was still in love with Da-on but he was just happy things were back to normal and Shin Woo was just anxious and along him we were anxious too.
