I will not compare his situation with Da-on tho. Both went through a a difficult time and wanted their time to figure things out.
Shin woo did mention in the flashback of ep 10 that he tried to be close to Tae. The thing is that baby boi is too awkward and shy, he doesn't know how to put his feelings into words most of the time and that could be the consequences of him being bullied in the past.
His heart was not prepared when Tae suddenly showed up and was like "Hey I need friends let me join".
Let's not forget their "first" meeting too. I am sure it wasn't the best way to get your crush to know you. Imagine how overwhelming all of this was for Shin woo.

The only "main lead trait" that he had was being mean at first.
I personally haven't forgotten how mean he was at first which kinda backfired cause when he tried being nice Tae wouldn't accept his kindness without wondering why he acts like this.
But besides that trait he is more like a second lead . Why?
He watches his love interest being in love with someone else, he gives advice to Da-on about his sexuality so that he won't be completely alone while figuring things out. He gives Tae space to be with Da-on cause he respects him while he takes care of him from afar. He is also there whe Tae is having a hard time and he makes sure to make Tae understand Da-on's perspective. He had many chances that he could take advantage of and get between Da-on and Tae but he didn't. He played fair. He even makes sure to give Da-on more chances to go after Tae and when he decides to make a move he also makes sure to let Da-on know. If that doesn't scream second lead behavior I don't know what does.

The main girl had a twin sister, the "main" guy was in love with the twin at first and he fell for the main girl thinking it was the twin. The "second" guy figured out that there was something up and he was the only one to know her true identity. They could pair each guy with both twins but they created a love triangle. And the guy that had a more major role in the story was left alone. I am so mad even if 6 years have passed.

In the drama there was a love triangle, that one guy that was always by the girl's side, knowing her secret and protecting her ended up rejected. Most of the fans were disappointed since they shipped those two characters and they had chemistry. The actors even won a best couple award despite not getting together in the drama. The series is known for one of the worst cases of second lead syndrome. However it is hard for me to call him a second lead when he has more screen time than the other guy. The writers messed up big time concerning the romantic part in the series.
I swear to god. They better no rush the ending and if they are going for a second 2 they should still give us an endgame and not drag the love triangle more.
The fact that they took the time to show us a kiss between Da-on and Tae that took place during the events of ep 9, yet they still haven't shown us what followed after Shin Woo's confession in ep 13 got me disappointed and mad.

EXACTLY! I admit they did a good job with making us anxious with the love triangle but enough is enough. I wanna feel sure that Tae is only and completely in love with Shin woo but because of the way they teases us it doesn't seem that way. The romantic atmosphere will be ruined that way. Shin woo deserves someone who will be confident of his feelings for him and not someone who can be swayed any moment My boi Tae has to make a special confession to Shin woo next ep and treat him like the king he is after confessing or else I will not be convinced. I feel robbed.
