For once I wanted the nice guy to get the girl and I am glad it happened here. I am tired of the cold guy winning the heart of the girl every time. Sun oh was the reason I could not watch season 1. He was so selfish.

Why the low rating? I think Hye Young deserves her the most.

Okay I checked if the spin off you're talking about is called Kuzu no honkai decor that's the one. One of the chapters is about Mugi and Hananbi (probably the last one not sure tho).

Yes there is, I think it takes place after they have gratuated high school and Mugi is sleeping around with girls but he feels as if he misses something ( Hanabi) then they meet by chance and decide to try again or it is implied so. This is what I remember it's been a long time since I read it.

There is an extra chapter which implies that they do end up together later.

true! That could be possible. But Bastard was such a well written story, it would definitely grab the audience.

YES! I also thought Bastard would get an adaptation since it's an easier series to adapt and more popular, I was suprised to see that sweet home got an adaptation first.

well if you keep an open mind while watching you might like it. Do give it a chance. Bastard is also one of my favorite webtoons, I would love to see a drama but only if it is faithfull 100% to the source material.

You are right about that, adaptations have changes, it's just as a webtoon reader I was not satisfied to see some characters have different personalities The characters kinda drive the story in the webtoon so that kinda threw me off. Not saying is bad as an adaptation, I am happy it has a live action actually, just not what I was expecting exactly.

I also read that the director wanted to make some changes, and of course changes are not bad, sometimes they can turn out to be good, the story itself as you said has potential. I was also really hyped about this series, in the trailer it seemed closer to the source material, I hope in the end it will turn out good, maybe the webtoon will also get more fans that way, the creators deserve some more recognition, I would like to see an adaptation of the creator's other work '' bastard'' but if they adapt this they totally need to follow the webtoon with no changes.

Yeah, watching the drama wihtout having read the webtoon is better since you can't compare it to anyhting. A someone who loved the webtoons the changes kinda throw me off so it will be hard not to compare them.

so second ep it gets better? that's good but the changes throw me off. I don't think I can watch it seeing so many changes. I really loved the webtoon. It's a shame they changed some things, every detail the creators put makes the story what it is and I would love to see the story as the creator wanted to convey it to people. I am not saying it's bad as an adaptation but if you loved the webtoon not making comparissons will be difficult.
