I can imagine Kan taking a boat every time to go to the safehouse just to slap Vegas. Like they are supposed to lay low but he has time to come and go just for the sake of hitting Vegas.
i think vegas should be the villain for season 2. instead of giving him a half assed redemption arc he should…
His sensitive side is only for Pete and Macau, don't worry he is still a piece of shit. He was the antagonist till the end, he was ruthless till the end but we were able to see that there is more to him than just a heartless and violent man, we were able to have an insight on his life and why he turned the way he did. In season 2 I would love to see him try and take his place as the leader of the minor family with Pete on his side and then together rule the mafia world as psychos husbands.
One more reason why we need S2 T.TLike you said, guess Pete will only say it when he sorts out all of his feelings...…
Yes I totally agree with every word you said.
Pete had a hard time sorting out his feelings, and actually it might be harder to forgive himself than to forgive Vegas. I also feel that he will say that he loves Vegas in a distant future and under an important occasion, like when he did when he chose to stay with him.
Saved your posts to read and comment calmly during my break, finally will be able to do so, thank u for sharing…
Omg, the fact that you saved my posts to read them when you have time means so much π₯Ίπ Thank you for your time to read them and comment and of course your very kind words.
I totally agree with you, the main reason I liked the novel was because of Vegas' character development, but BOC gave us many more reasons to connect with this couple in such a short screentime. Truly outstanding.
Yes indeed, Pete's feelings in the series seem to make more sense, in the novel I guess it is more sympathy that turned into love and also the fact that Vegas started spoiling him at some point . But in the series his character is more complex and so are his feelings making it more understandable for the viewer why he developed feelings.
Once again BOC did a great job, I love how they altered some scenes from the novel and adding more impact to them and making them more emotional.
Thank you for your feedback, I am glad you enjoyed reading bestie π
Yey reading time >grabs coffee I was surprised to see Kimas one of the key characters, but it makes so much sense.…
I really hope we can see more of Kim investigating in season 2. He is a very interesting charater that deserves more screentime. If the three brothers come together to help each othe it would be really nice!
Yes, after that chapter ( don't worry about mentioning it) it does not seem very possible that they will all work together, and I was kinda expecting it. It was my wishful thinking that they work together. Who knows? Kinn and Pete might work together in the novel in a try to stop Porsche and Vegas and they might end up discovering the truth about Korn.
I wonder under what occasion will Pete say ''I love you'' to Vegas. While his words '' I am your pet'' and ''I follow my heart'' hold a lot of meaning they only understand making the words even more impactful , I am curious why Pete is still not able to say I love you when his actions clearly say so. Giving up his position and putting Vegas before his loyalty over the main family shows that his new priority is Vegas. Pete has always put the feelings of others and their expactations of him above everything else. To meet those expectations and to hide his pain he avoided being selfish in any way that in the end it came to hurt him and turned him into a shell that serves others.
Vegas was not only the first one to confess between the two,but he was the first one to develop feelings and accept them. While Vegas was not expecting a hostage to turn his life upside down and give him all he ever craved for , Pete was definitely not anticipating to not only feel sympathy for his captor and abuser, but to feel any sort of emotions. Vegas was quick to let himself get absorbed in that blissful bubble they created , on the contray, Pete was quicker to burst that bubble and hide in his shell. While Pete has always been hiding from his feelings, Vegas has always faced them and expressed them. That is why the way they cope differs. Vegas lets other know his pain and anger through violence whereas, Pete appears to be happy all the time avoiding sharing too much about him to anyone and always shows and does what his surroundings expect of him.
Vegas filled that empty shell of Pete with emotions that made him feel like a human. But, being human comes with all sorts of emotions, both positive and negative. Instead of seperating himself from his emotions as he used to do , now because of Vegas ,he was starting to connect with them. Embracing his emotions made him connect to the pain as well, a pain that was caused by no one else but Vegas. Vegas is the person that made Pete feel the most, feel alive the most, feel true to himself the most, but also feel pain the most.
It was far harder for Pete to accept his feelings, as it is only natural to accept that you hold any postive feelings towards your abuser. He was constantly reminded that the person who hurt him the most was also the only person who was capable of healing him and that made his pain even greater to bear with. In the bar , Pete's pain is obvious and even after getting closure and the apology he needed, the next time he sees Vegas his frustration is evident and one of his first reactions is to punch him, but he still refuses to let him die and protects him. A few moments later, seeing Vegas close to death and losing everything, is when Pete realizes that he is ready to accept the pain if it means he can feel like a human again and be true to himself. Thus, he chooses to stay with Vegas.
Pete has shown at what lenghts he will go for Vegas proving how strong and genuine his feelings are but he still has not confessed to him the same way Vegas did. What is that prevents him from saying those three words? It could be that he is not ready yet ,which is valid, but part of the reason he might not be ready is because he is not used to adressing his feelings. He might have chosen and forgiven Vegas but the pain and the trauma do not disappear like that. Maybe he is still processing the fact that he fell for his abuser and by saying it aloud might make him face those conflicitng feelings he has been running from. When vegas asked him in the hospital why he is still there, Pete could have easily said that it is because he loves him or because he wants to be by his side. Pete, however, took a bit of time before giving an answer and said that he just wants to follow his heart. Pete has taken a huge step by trying to give in to his desires and he needs time before he can fully accept that he fell for a person that brought so much pain upon him. It is difficult for him to break free from old habits as difficult it is for Vegas. But Pete is willing to try and let his emotions for once guide him, even if he is not ready to say aloud what he feels exactly. Both of them are broken but they give each other the motivation to heal because there is no one else that can fill their void.
sorry I was still sleepy when I was wiritng this lol
Tankhun of course created fashion.
