Some privileged men with power suck (literally)

Before you watch this check the tags!

If you are here for the pretty faced fuckboys than back away... and go watch something else. If you feel like watching something slightly suspenseful that shows the less flattering side of MANkind, with a side od pretty faces (and nude bodies) this is not a bad place to look for it.

The movie starts off a bit slow and messy, but about half way in to it the darkness takes over and we get to see how one thing leads to another as well as the seemingly never ending circle or dare I say avalanche of blackmail abuse where one thing leads to another and just gets worse and worse... All to satisfy the never ending desire of the predator. This part is actually done pretty well and VERY graphic...

I am not sure I would say this is a great movie, neither was it very entertaining but the acting was pretty good some of the scenery lovely and well the suspense ok and the story may not be revolutionary but it is defiantly one worth watching so all in all a pretty decent movie.

Lock down at it´s messiest

Put two people together under quarantine and something is bound to happen, ether they will kill or kiss each other or get close to both...

The drama starts off with this sweet sweet guy who goes to hook up anonymously with another sweet sweet guy but can´t and instead ends up stuck there for 2 week...

Sounds all sweet and fun just that the sweet, sweet guy is a broken, broken guy who becomes this evil slightly sadistic cold male lead who goes to great lengths to keep the anonymity and reinforce his very high walls. While mr optimistic rainbows does all in his powers to drill holes in those walls.

Will he succeed, is he worth it? I am not going to tell you, but I will tell you that me cold is pretty good with the whole consent thing and has some teddy bear moments. .. Mr rainbows is more fragile than he looks, And both pull off this lock-down pretty well keeping a pretty high entertainment value even though there are like 4 characters in the whole show and they more or less never leave the house.

There are no annoying characters in this drama and the ost is pretty decent too.

Was it great no, was it worth a watch defiantly yes.

Also I would like a second season for this, preferably outdoors.

Sweet and HOT but may be missing a plot...

This is a really sweet drama filled with cute couples and sweet, sweet (thirsty) moments... But I am honestly not really sure about what the main plot is here... And it does leave you with a whole bunch of questions that fit the name of the drama

Why R U, writing a BL about your brother- The "writer" is actually a really playful fun character and I would most certainly have understood if it was a friend who wrote it but sister, just felt odd...

Why R U editing this way? this drama is the master of slomo, montage and triple everything... making sure we will not miss a kiss, a touch or a fluffy scene... we get to see every kiss three times (in a row) + maybe in a montage or ten,,,

Why R U so many? This drama has so many couples it is hard to keep track of them while all are sweet (maybee to quick and odd too) they feel unnecessary and just make this messy. I do however support them all having dramas of their own someday (if they have not yet)

Ok enough with the Why R Us... This is an enjoyable watch with a lot of beautiful shots, lovely scenery and beautiful fun characters and a sweet cat (and a kitten in the background).

The main couple is so much fun to watch, yet mr fighter does need to get a bit better at controlling himself.. but he does get points for mostly espiering to gaining consent, except for that one time... oh and that other time... but in between those times he does try to respect Tutors boundaries.

Tutor is such a fun character, charming, smart, fun but a bit of a scardy cat...

The second couple is just so much fun, sweet, talented and definitely the source of many laughs.. that the product placement and the photo angels had me laughing so I almost peed a little...

And well those are the highlights without spoiling, this was fun to watch but prepare yourself for a mess and 0 depth...

Dark, fun, dark, deep...

This was too short and so much fun... It starts off in a dark, dark lake filled with dar, dark suicidal humour, definitely catering to my very dark side as it takes us on a pretty dark, did I mention it is dark? Journey to get away from some gangsters counted by seemingly endless obstacles and more or less humorous situations with just a dash of issues...

As the story unfolds it becomes less and less funny, and more and more dark, deep and painful... again with interesting twists and sprinkles of again dark, oh so dark humour...

The characters are interesting, fun, unpredictable at times and not the least bit annoying (though I do feel for the bird)...

The humour is dark...

The romance is actually pretty light but deep...

The drama is too short....

And the journey this drama takes you on is just a blast!

an emotional ride between heart fluttering cuteness and wanting everybody dead...

This is one of those rare gems with the great combo of high entertainment value and high quality good drama, easy to binge, easy to scream, infuriating and heart fluttering all at once.

Honestly I kept jumping between the emotions: "ooohhh they are soooo cute" and "KILL THEM ALL" and experienced everything in-between...

A while back I wrote an article called: Crossdressing in K-dramas: Revealing Inequality or Just Another Punchline
(link in the comments). And people kept mentioning this in the comment section making me very cureus.

This drama is THE clearest case of revealing in-equality and definitely not just another punchline and it does not even cross the line to homophobia, than many of these dramas otherwise balance.

this shows clearly how little women and well anything outside the norm were (are) valued in the past, as well as clearly show the real villain and complexity to the hunger for power... What people would wan tthat power for is a different question....

It has several great portrayals of friendship, a cute cat (but barely noticeable), butterflies (both in and outside ones stomach) flowers, scenery... found family... and a lot of blood and excitement, and a pretty ost. So really what is not to love? If you are not faint hearted and actually do appreciate historicals, that is... If you do not like historicals with all their regular power stuff then you will not like this either.

Oh and it has very few scenes with overly annoying characters at all! hateable, despicable, evil jerks yes!!! plenty but not those oh this is just stupid types that often come in to ruin stuff!

To be perfectly honest I was pondering whether to give this a 9,5 or 10 but landed on a 10... it is in no way perfect but tics enough boxes to earn that rating...

Possessiveness and aggression are all fun and games until someone becomes obsessive....

After more or less getting the idea that this would be the Boys over flowers of Thai BL I decided to watch it, not that the story would be any thing like it but the I did expect a similar level of toxicity and unhealthy relationships. And well I was not disappointed. The styling is a lot better, ok part of me would have loved some kind of iconic hair but the entertainment value was definitely high. While as relationship goals not so much....

There are so many mixed messages on the one hand Tharn seems to get it, be all caring and nice, understand that rape is bad but then he goes and does some pretty questionable deeds... Consent wise it is almost scary... but they do talk about it so it does not just pas by as romantic... Still the guy is also pretty jealous, possessive yet tender and kind. Yet still more or less a sexual predator always in need of a fix...

Type spends most of the drama as an extreme homofob, taking out his anger on pedofiles on homoseuals while being in denial of his own sexuality. I feel so bad for the guy for nor having the opportunity to learn about sexuality, consent and how to differentiate sex from assault pedofelia from sexuality... Oh well but the guy is otherwise pretty smart, and oddly vulnerable yet possessive, jealous and also portrayed as a man who is always horney, oh well...

A small reminder, Men no matter what sexuality you have I know most of you are not sexual predators and that you may not always be up for a f****. Also checking for stds is always a good idea, I like that this drama made way for that.

The side characters in this drama are interesting, most of them are just the sweetest ever, others are well not so sweet. The best character of this whole show is Types best friend Techno who may not be the smartest guy but is definitely the sweetest and so is his sidekick. Tharns family is also adorable, the parents are too good looking to be realistic but the whole family dynamics is adorable.

All in all definitely an entertaining show, easy to binge, easy to watch, not really a romance and definitely not for those who are underaged... I will leave you with this male aggression and possessiveness may seem like all fun and games until someone gets obsessive or another man gets gang raped... Also stay safe and check for consent!

Allot of drama and dispaisable characters with a side of charm

This was my first Lakorn so when reading this you may want to know that I judge it according to previous dramas watched and have honestly no knowledge of lakorns at all, and am more familiar with c-and k-dramas.

What do you get if you take all the aggravating characters in Go ahead, Suits and Something in the rain along with bits and pieces of the plot to Remember:war of the son and put them together in one drama? Well probably something close to this.

A good thing that is also bad is that most of the characters go thru allot of development and change making non of them truly lovable, some pretty dispisable but even they have some good qualities at times making you feel allot of disappointment.

Though the male lead is very charming most of the time he does not really measure up to Jung Hae In (sorry). He does come off as pretty charming and cool most of the time and is probably the most likable character in this drama but falls short towards the end and feels kind of pathetic.

The female lead, is supposed to be bad ass but is essentially just a selfish scaredy cat, with some fine moments but to be honest she is just not very lovable.

The friends are annoying at times but over all seem to be the voice of reason in this drama, and display some pretty good friendship goals so hats off to them.

The Second female lead kind of gave me sls at times she is pretty cool and actually knows what she wants unlike the female lead who well you will see if you watch it.

The parent bring out my inner anger so much that I had to take a break to look at puppies whenever they came on a sign of me actually caring about the drama enough to get angry.

So all in all if you want a show with big variety that will have you charmed by the male lead and mad at the same time this is most definitely worth watching. But be where you will probably feel a range of emotions including some deep, deep frustration.

Revenge of the kittens

This so called horror movie is among the most adorable horror movies I have ever seen! And actually has a little bit of everything in it. Thought the pace in the beginning may not be great , most of the effects make sure you do not think this is real and some of the actors where still in need of a lesson or two, Park Min Young and Kim Ye Ron rocked theirs roles and where a pleasure to watch,

this movie has ALLOT of cute fluffy cats as well as some pretty scary cats and seem to try to convey several messages. The most important one being, be kind to cats or you too shall die, so it actually has some humour in it too.

All in all not a masterpiece but most definitely worth watching,

Short and sweet

This was really short and cute. The main couple is just adorable and really seem to care for eachother and are not afraid to show some public displays of effection. Every single act was consensual and tho they do face some obstecals the main focus seems to be their love and longing for eachother as well as the trouble of having to be apart during the mandatory military service

And can you recognise the mains (without looking at the list) so cool to see them at the start of their very success careers.

Watching this drama feels a bit like walking on a thin line over a valley that gets deeper and deeper for every episode.... Keeping your emotions constantly ready to fall... and even though you know someone is going to die you neither know when, how and though you may have a clue you do not know who it was (or they were) that died.

This drama has a little bit of everything I like in a drama, it has sweet, sweet flirting, bad ass woman, evil parents, corruption, conspiracy, war, confronting abelism, domestic violence, activism, forced marriage, sports, friendship... As well as tackling issues of inequality in every aspect of life. I especially loved the way this drama portrays the different consequences rich v.s poor people face for their activism and so called illegal actions and demonstrations a topic that never seems to get outdated (so are the others).

This drama has an amazing pace and build up. with every episode adding parts to the complexity of the situation and adding new dimension to the escalating conflict helping the the viewers to gradually get in to and understand the the plot. Not one single moment was boring and my ayes where more or less constantly moist.

I often (not always, and not only) judge a drama over its ability to ability to awaken my emotions and this one did just that I felt sorrow, angst, anger, suspense, fluffy inside (tho they did make me cringe once or twice) and made me fall competently in love with this cast. The acting here was top notch, and so was the writing making it feel real. There was not one single character with annoying dialog, mimics or flat no matter how small their side-part was (not guest rolls). I did of course want to knock some sense in to people, screamed nooooooo once or twice at the screen but that is to be expected.

The cinematography was gorgeous and the music fit perfectly as well So yes I loved it and I gave it 10 well deserved stars.

So... If you are more of the no romance war type or if you are looking for a fluffy happy romance move along there is nothing to see here.... But if you are a sucker for tragedy and fluff like me this is defiantly worth a watch.

P.S. I like the fluff too, especially after watching something like this i need to cleans my soul with some pure fluff before moving on.

When society terns us in to our worst enemy it can be hard to know what to tell sunset...

This is a very sweet yet at times emotional roller coaster drama, breaking your heart over and over again. Telling the story of a journey with many victims on the way to figuring out what is true in ones heart. Actually showing how every singel person and choice matter no matter how insignificant he/she/thy may think they are.

This story shows surprisingly few signs of prejudges from the outside world and has full fokus on the inner struggles of a person trying to figure out his feelings and the affect on both himself and the people around him who become collateral damage on the way to self-acceptance. Honestly a journey that would have been allot easier if people where taught inclusion from the start, but well that is probably to much to ask for, but hey one day...

It is at times easy to get mad and frustrated by the lead for making so extremely poor choices while lacking communication skills, but what is youth if not that a series of poor choices while learning to deal with the consequences of ones actions. Plus even if the drama shows very little signs of prejudges from the outside world, Tahs struggles are most definitely a result of growing up in a hetero-normative society. So it is there while not being there... kind of like a ghost in the background whispering do not forget you live in a hetero-normative society over and over again.

What makes this drama special is that every singel bad choice was called out and had a realistic non sugarcoated consequence, giving a realistic feel to this drama. I also loved how friendship and different types of relationships are portrayed in this drama, as well as the way they portray the value of a living in a supportive environment for growth and in the long run self acceptance.

This drama has allot of playful fun scenes between the heavy emotions, swimming and running around on beautiful beaches making studying seem FUN, and you might just learn a word or two in Chinese.

All in all this is defiantly a drama worth a watch, I am looking forward to season 2 but hope Tah has become more comfortable with himself so that the relationship can grow and hope he can stop hurting himself and the people around him.

P.s I want to make a side note about the existence of people who are pansexuall as well as bisexuall, just because you fall in love with a person with the same assumed sex as yours does not automatically make you a lesbian or a homosexual. A man can fall in and out of love with a girl and then fall in love with a boy... That boy could be assumed to be a boy but actually be a girl too. Sexuality and gender identity are a spectrum, sound complicated but it is not.

A lovely romcom that will make you wanna kiss, kiss, kiss a consensual kiss

I do not always rate dramas solely on how they make me feel but this one probably is 90% feels 10% quality. Because I did feel a range of emotions with everything from, happy, nervous, hot, tickled, sad, angry to confused.

To be honest the production was mediocre and the best acting skills where probably shown by the child actors in the later episodes (though most of the skills improved with time). This drama was mostly an easy to watch, sweet, steamy, fluffy drama with a cold and awkward main lead along side a worm and loving other main lead. Some episodes dealt with important issues showing the importance of living in a supportive environment and the harm a joke can make. Giving this otherwise extremely light, fluffy, steamy, funny rom com a slight serious core between the laughs.

This truly has the makes of a classic rom-com drama with all the parts including a love triangel, jealousy, mild stalking, consensual relations, childhood sweetharts and misunderstandings all topped off with an OST that setts the mood for each scene and a theme song that just will not leave your head no matter how hard you try.. I wanna kiss, kiss, kiss.... I wanna kiss you, do you wanna kiss me too... so it may kind of make you want to kiss just a bout any one.. okay not anyone but it will awaken your wish to kiss, so if you do not have some one who you can kiss in a consensual way you might want to prepare your self. A big plus is how this drama deals with the issue of consent and the complexity of finding trust in another human being. I loved this dramas take on the classic scandal/celebrity relationship theme probably making viewers mad but staying true to the characters personality, as well as the problems that may occur while facing the harsh reality of facing pressure from others. Can love survive anything? And how much would you be willing to forgive/sacrifice for love?
Another plus was the way this drama portrays femininity, masculinity and sexuality showing a spectrum not playing in to traditional gender roles and stereotypes. As well as criticizing both the industry and the female gaze in a very smart way,

All in all this is defiantly a lovely rom com about a actually not so lovely writer but a lovely actor that just seems to want to be kissed by the not so lovely writer...

Korea meets Japan with all it´s cutness

This is an easy watch that truly seems to bring out the essence of K and J romance dramas, it doensen't take the best from each side but rather takes the typical from each and combines it in to this pretty decent yet average drama.

An enjoyable watch with mostly lovable leads an adorable scaredy cat and a sweet sweet puppy, fun slightly over the top sides part fantasy, part business, part odd environmentalism done really, really strange and part researcher. And while it was an easy binge it was not as memorable as one might think the concept of K meets J could be as I am sure this may end up as one of those that I will look in to and forget I ever Eyed it... or at least most of it, that said there are som memrable paarts, mostly our female leads fantasys and male leads smiles and there where points where I wonders if the writer wrote the plot while listening to hits of the 90´s mostly Ace of Base but some other hit songs too.

Cinderella meets Dark Magic and some other stuff...

This started off kind off meeh, with an abundance of over the top annoying characters and the some kind of familier vibe that took me back to 100 days my prince (same writer) that had me waiting for Rowoon to start saying Hoho in this kind of awkward I am above you kind of tone... Just that I never got the Hoho...

In this modern and anciant Cinderella meets black magic and stalking drama. Equipped with the evil (highly annoying) step sisters in the form of colleagues, an evil step mother (the second female lead) and yes a prince (our lead). Some may find this drama messy with a lot of subplots and stuff that don't really add anything to the plot. which is kind of true but if you can just ignore that stuff and instead think of it as diversions that are there to make it harder to guess the main plot and have you guessing (done kind of poorly) you may find them ok...

What ups the score is the character development of our leads, the mom, the grandma and the fact that I love my messy clichefests. And I do feel that I have to warn you that even though Rowoon did a good job and looks like he was created to look to perfect, there is a high probability for SLS as Ha Joon plays his character to perfection and makes a damn good second male lead.

So this is not for those who need the plot to actually make sense or have some kind of consistency.I would be lying if I said this did have any of that. This is more of a watch for those who can appreciate turning off their brain for a while. Just watch some pretty scenery, one of dramalands most beautifully filmed bloody death scenes as well as a bunch very good looking leads. In a place where those who are evil are really evil and you can never be fully sure about those who are supposed to be good.

And as you can see this works perfectly for me in my current mood, but is defiantly not for everyone.

Oh my... Not som much logic... but light?

To be able to watch this drama you are going to have to discard any hint of logic... and by that I mean you may just want to think of this as a fantasy drama as there is more or less nothing that makes any sense at all.. be it human relations, pace, medically... you name it the logic is just not there.

The pace of this drama varies to slow, very slow, fast as ***, to so slow you do not understand how they are going to be able to wrap this up in just a few episodes to slooow with fast peaks... I guess it is i form of interval training in a drama... Having relationships go from I hate you, I love this other dude, in more or less 10-15 episodes (give or take) to we are never ever gonna be together, to now I shall kiss you... to naked in less than 60 seconds with little variation for most of the couples.. there is also a hint of Who are you, do I know you and get the *** away.. to kiss, to naked, to get the f*** away again... Entertaining at times, draggy at times... Highly inconsistent and a bit of an anti climax I guess...

That said there are a lot of fun icicle moments, behind the scenes helping, complete lack of communication skills and some secretly romantic moments. Some of those are really sweet and good. There are also a bunch of shower scenes... lots and lots of shower scens... And pretty views. Some highly predictable evil and action. Some less predictable twists here and there . A lot of apples... so many apples that it should come with a warning eating to many apples can damage your health so do not try this at home, If you are experiencing problems with you heart please go see a doctor...

I am not going to say that this was good, nor so bad it was good bu tit was okay... nothing I would highly recommend but nothing I regret watching either. What I do regret was starting this a few weeks before it finished airing as most of the characters were not memorable enough for me to remember who some of them were once I got back to watching the last episodes. So if you do watch it do not let too much time pass between the episodes.

I tried making something with emojis... but only a few work I see some people like emojis so here are some hearts to all of those who watch this brains, I know you need them:
