Deliciously cliché

Does this drama have quite a few cliches? Yes.
But ask yourself this, why are cliches used so often? Because they are appealing on some level to the general audience.
And that makes this drama deliciously cliche. Does it have a cliche love triangle with an oblivious female lead? Yes. But it's done well, and it's enjoyable to watch. And I'd make the same argument for the other cliches as well.
It won't be a show to philosophosize about or consider the greater impacts of politics on society or solve who murdered someone else, but sometimes you don't need all that. You just want a light hearted show to take you away from the dull reality of your own life or the problems you are facing. And in that situation, I'd say this is pretty perfect.

Love it

If you like obsessive male leads, melodrama, and multiple main characters, you may like this show.
I personally love this show and have watched it multiple times.
The ML is definitely obsessed over one of the FLs and, while not good in real life, in dramaland, if you can suspend your sense of reality, it might even be described as almost romantic, in a very obsessive way. That said, he is also brutal in his dealings with others and got to the top by sometimes doing things that are not ethical. So he's certainly no hero in the general term. But his ending is pretty good.
The FLs are good, but actually I wanted to write this review to primarily mention Eun Bi, the male leads youngest sister. She was a bully, but of all the MLs family, she was the least bad. Honestly I think she sincerely cared for every single member of her family, whereas her older sister and mother were completely self absorbed and didn't care about anyone, and her brother was completely- well whatever he was. To me, Eun Bi stole the show, and besides the main couple, I most looked forward to scenes with her in it. She was funny and helped move along the plot. And I was glad there was one person in the ML family who I didn't absolutely hate. Once again, not a hero, but I really enjoyed her character and want to give her a shout out.
The person I hated the absolute most in this show was the mother, and props to the actress for playing her so perfectly. The mother was actually the main reason I had any sympathy for the ML and his siblings at all. With a mother like that, it's no surprise how messed up the kids are. The male lead was constantly berated for not being a lap dog and doing everything his mother wanted exactly as she wanted it. The children never got an ounce of love at all. And it makes sense why he would obsess over the FL who is so opposite of the mother. In that sense, the mother character made the plot make sense and is a very valuable addition.

Cult Classic

I think that is the easiest way to explain this drama concisely. It's a cult classic. If you read some of the critical reviews, I'd tend to agree with them, but the thing is it's what makes it a cult classic in my opinion.
The acting isn't perfect and the dialogue can be weird at times, but that makes it even funnier.
I think if you go in knowing it's not a serious tv show, you will better be able to enjoy it. You can't compare it to highly choreographed big budget tv shows of today because that's not what it is. But if you go in and just accept it for what it is, a lower budget old funny spoof on some cliches, I think it's pretty solid and has pretty good rewatch value

NOT for those under 18

It's a slap-kiss revenge drama, and a rape is involved. For that reason, please do not watch this if you are under 18.
However, I do have some positive things to say. First off, the secondary couple were very amusing, and I'm really glad they were included to lighten the show up. This drama also has a ton of angst, which is what we watch Slap-Kiss dramas for, so checkmark on that. Also the female lead is drop dead gorgeous; I was STUNNED. Literally the most gorgeous actress I have EVER seen. The ML actor is handsome too (not on her level though lol) and acts his part well.
The general population would not like this drama. I personally liked it for the angst. Frankly, the ML had too easy of an ending, there are others where the ML goes to jail and that "redeems" them, which would probably work better for this for the general population. That being said, I believe the reason for the ending was because she was pregnant and wanted her baby to have a Dad? I don't remember; it's been a couple of months.
Remember that these revenge dramas only work for those who can suspend their sense of reality. If you cannot do that, you will not like this show.
Honestly, my high score can mainly be attributed to 1. the gorgeous actors and actresses, and 2. the solid angst levels. Plot line wasn't super involved or anything.

It's a Slap-Kiss Lakorn, but NOT for those under 18

It's pretty standard fare, as far as I can tell. The storyline wouldn't make sense in reality. But I don't think any Slap-Kiss lakorns really do; the whole revenge thing is pretty hard to get to make sense generally, but we watch it for the angst anyway.
Just keep that in mind for your expectations. Personally, I don't mind dramas that aren't realistic. I thought it was a decent show. Not my favorite, but I liked the angst involved. I likely will watch it again after a year or so, as I tend to rewatch things, but it might not be one most people would rewatch.
NOTE: This show is for mature audiences ONLY. There is a rape. It's not shown exactly, but if you are under 18, I wouldn't recommend this. Please watch some lighter shows that are age appropriate.

Know what you are getting into, but if you like angst, you may like this

There is a reason this is tagged abusive male lead. So know that before you watch it.
Overall, I thought it was great. It was short, so there is not much of a long term plot, but for people who love angst and drama, this is a great drama to watch. I have watched it three times. I adore angst and the way you get pulled in and feel all the pain too, and this show has plenty of it. The ML is also a great actor; his character is believable. Some people might criticize the FL because her character is weak, but that is still GOOD acting; she isn't like that in real life. She is realistically acting a battered wife type character. So I think she is equally good as the ML, just that audiences look down on character's that are weak and blame the actress when the character is supposed to be like based on how the writers wrote the story.
The kid actor was also cute, but he's a kid, so he won't be able to act very well, which should be expected at that age, and I would never deduct stars for that.
Some people can't stand slap kiss dramas and such because they can't suspend their sense of reality to watch a show, which is okay, and in which case, you shouldn't watch this; it'll be too much for you. If you can suspend it, try this drama out. You might like it, you might not, but you'll learn about yourself, what you like and what you can handle, and what to find or avoid in the future.
