And if it is the OG Dan shim, I thought CSG is the reincarnated grand prince? So what happened? It really doesn't…
Now that I think about it, Seori said to Mundo he was given a chance to restart his new life but chose not to do it so as a result he has the same fate as the King in Joseon. So I guess Cha Se Gye can still be the reincarnated Yi Hyeon but a complete different person since this is his new life.
The last episode went back to the original drama we saw on episode 1 which is nice but also a minus to the scriptwriter because why she insert some melodrama shit in this romcom and did not even thoroughly explained the plot twist well in the ending. Still a good drama though and I'm craving for more romcom for Heo Nam Jun.
I mean did him not die while he was exiled. Why does he need to be saved in the past so he could live in the present.…
They seem to be portraying CSG as stuck in a time loop rather than experiencing reincarnation, because how is it that he will die every time if they did not correct the first timeline? In reincarnation, wouldn’t there be a chance to learn from past mistakes and eventually correct them?
Imagine you are the original Dan Shim, you went from the Joseon to the modern world and thought you finally have a chance of a good life but because of kdrama writers, you were sent back to Joseon to die again just because they need it for the plot LOL then what happens with Shin Seori goes back to Joseon is Dan Shim going back to the modern world then sent back to Joeon to die again? Poor girl LOL
I get you. But it was told to us a million times, that its a soul time travelling thing. It was us the viewers…
I don’t think it was ever “told” to us a million times, especially when the writer repeatedly shows that Cha Segye is a reincarnation. Logically, it would make more sense if Seori were also a reincarnation rather than going with a soul-swapping setup.
Personally, I also just don’t like soul-swapping plots in general because K-drama writers often end up sidelining or completely forgetting the other soul. Dan Shim’s character really feels like she was just used as a plot device rather than a fully developed person. Imagine being thrown from Joseon into the modern world, then from modern world you just suddenly die in Joseon as well. Poor Dan Shim LOL
It could’ve been a straightforward reincarnation story, but the writer ended up falling back on the same old K-drama trope. I’m kind of disappointed because Episode 1 gave us villainous leads with a refreshing edge, but by Episode 13, they’d turned into the same naive, frustrating protagonists you see in every K-drama. :(
I still stand with the reincarnation thing because it is the most easy trope LOL. I don't think Korean drama writers are as smart as the readers here with their theory about swapping even when they were young.
I think what happened is the "friend" of modern Shin Seori poisoned her during the drama filming which triggered her past life memories of Kang Dan shim because Dan Shim was also poisoned but the result was she has forgotten her modern Shin Seori life so we thought it was soul swapping when it is not.
even if it's just reincarnation so her suddenly acting like dan sim can't be explained by it

Try A Hundred Memories. But I do think he looks better in MRN.
OMG I just realized he was the male lead in this drama and I remember not watching it because of the negative reviews because some were not liking the male lead for the FL and they said the story was bad.
This is my first time seeing him as a male lead( several second leads though too). He did not disappoint here!
Oh he will definitely start getting those lead roles. He is 32 and already did military service. Meanwhile some actors his age range are still doing military right now. Byeon woo seok and Cha Eun Woo having their scandals. He is a fresh face in kdrama right now so I hope his agency is good in choosing his next drama and stay away from scandals.
dunno, MT looks way creepier to me than Mundo. like a proper bunny boiler. when cha se gye came close to her i…
Really? To me, Mon Taehee just seems like she's playing house and trying too hard to be the villain. Mundo, on the other hand, definitely nails the villain role.
