I was hoping for more!!!

I will be breaking this review down into three parts to describe my feelings on the drama and the reason behind my rating.

Acting:

These actors and characters made the drama for me (I was able to get through it, thanks to them):

Seo In Guk - I would definitely say the reason I even continued to watch the show after episode 6 was for the way Seo In Guk portrayed the character of "Myeol Mang". I think he performed his character well so when viewing I didn't feel that the character was lacking in anything. If there was any time that his acting wasn't strong I believe it would most likely be due to the storyline.
Dawon - I also think that Dawon as Tak Seon Kyung did a great job bringing his character to life. I first saw his acting style in Click your Heart, which was before I knew that he was a part of SF9, I thought his profession was acting instead of a K-pop singer.
Woo Hee Jin's - I always like Woo Hee Jin's portrayals of her characters for all the dramas I have seen her in which include Angel's Last Mission: Love ,Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo and now this. She always makes me feel like she is the character at heart.

These actors and characters made me want to quit this drama (throw in the towel):

Park Bo Young - I usually like Park Bo Young's work but this was not one of them. Her acting was great at the beginning of the drama when everything was fresh and brand new but as the drama went on, she seemed more and more disconnected from her character. I would love to blame the way the story was written because it was subpar, but it is more than that. She looked less engrossed in the character and more like she was working her day job and she was doing what she was supposed to be doing so that she could go home (which is what it really is) . I was disappointed for her sake ( thinking about it, she was probably over the stupid story just as much as I was and just had enough of it ).

Lee Soo Hyuk - OH...NO... Should I really go into detail about Lee Soo Hyuk's acting... I love his voice, his handsome face and he is a great model, but I must say when it comes to acting, he is not my cup of tea. I was literally begging through my screen to see some emotions coming from his face because there was none, nothing, nada! If his character is being cheeky, his expression and persona hits the nail on the head every time but when it comes to his portray of romantic, seductive expressions... they are much lacking. The only romantic expression I saw from him through this whole drama was in the last episode and by that time it was too late for me. I was over it.

Storyline:
I must say, I think the way the writers began the story was great! It was a new take on some of the old drama cliché's which I was looking forward to. The drama was well promoted from my viewpoint, and it had a great cast so I expected a drama I would want to rate at least 8.5/10. But as the story progressed, the small hints of a new dynamic look to this drama quickly faded away. The reason behind why things happened stop making sense to the point where I stop trying to figure out what it was supposed to be and just went with the flow. Moments that were supposed to make the story strong completely had no factor other than the realization of what was taking place. The beginning of the drama started with a dark theme that I thought was new and exciting, I was looking forward to what the writers would do to incorporate it into the romantic scenes but no… It completely disappeared, as quickly as it came. It was no where to be found throughout more than half of the drama but when it came back it was not even worth it because it was just a repeat of the first part of the storyline. I was very disappointed when they literally wasted the viewers time by just recapping the first episodes of the drama, while acting like if it was something new and fresh that actually contributed to the story because it didn’t. It was all things that were previously known to the audience, so it was a basic waste of time. I expected the drama to be an overall dark and deep story with many heart-breaking moments that would live on me for a longtime, but it was just full of romantic fluff of the most mundane nature.

Entertainment:
I think the entertainment factor is very specific to what the viewer is expecting from the drama. If you are looking for a light fluffy love story with some meaningful moments here and there than you would really like this drama. But if you are a person such as myself who came into this drama expecting a darker theme overall with a strong desperate struggle of inner turmoil of the characters with a strong impactful romantic relationship then you are going to leave a bit disappointed and cheated like I was. I would consider the re-watch value of this drama to be very low for me, given the fact that there is nothing as a viewer I feel that needs a deeper understanding, nothing that can be interpreted from a different angle, everything was pretty basic and straightforward which a lot of people may like. There was a notable comedic value to the drama which I enjoyed. Overall, I think I understand what the writer may have been going for but the execution of it became poor after the initial excitement.
