I think the show was filmed without the script being completely finished. Because there are so many plot holes…
I've certainly noticed some plot holes in the show, and it's a bit frustrating to see certain actors getting too much screen time when it doesn't seem relevant. I hope the remaining episodes can address these mysteries effectively without rushing to a conclusion.

Title My Journey to You Spoiler
It's funny how GZY disregards SJ's suspicions about Lady Wuji being an assassin. GZY's reason for choosing YWS as his bride, that she can't be an assassin because she always wants to leave their place, seems rather naive. GSJ takes a more logical approach by investigating Lady Wuji's identity and uncovering a series of coincidences and suspicious aspects, which GZY vehemently denies. It's amusing to observe how he consistently contradicts GSJ about an assassin being present in the Gong residence.

I have a theory that Lady Wuji might indeed be an anonymous assassin. What's truly clever about her is the way she's managed to present herself as a loving and caring second mother to Ziyu and gain the trust of the elders. If Shangjue attempts to expose her, Lady Wuji could easily dismiss his claims as personal vendetta, perhaps suggesting he's seeking revenge for not having her as a witness.

We're nearly halfway through the series, and there are already numerous mysteries that need to be resolved. However, with each new episode, the show introduces another mystery into the mix. I'm starting to wonder if the show's creators can effectively tackle and resolve all of these mysteries within the remaining episodes without resorting to a rushed conclusion.

Title My Journey to You Spoiler
It appears that the collaborative relationship between SGQ and YWS has reached its breaking point. Although they are both members of the same organization of assassins, they are far from friends. SGQ has asked YWS to assist her in a mission, seemingly underestimating her and viewing her as a mere pawn, even though this request carries significant risk for YWS. YWS agreed to assist, but it appears she had a way out plan that SGQ was unaware of. It's safe to say that they will view each other as enemies now, and it's unlikely they will cooperate again, despite the potential benefits of doing so. Their respective missions are also on opposing sides. No more late-night chats. It's a bummer 'cause I loved those late-night talks.

Dude, I don't dislike any of these characters. But it makes me defend GSJ so much that I look like some fan girl.…
Shangjue's actions were in line with the established rules, as the heir to become a Sword Wielder must choose the most outstanding successor through many qualifications and trials. Both Shangjue and Huanyu were acknowledged as heirs because they excelled in many qualifications and underwent the trials. Huanyu was then chosen among the two to become the Sword Wielder's successor, following the rules.

In contrast, Ziyu did not meet the qualifications to be an heir. He lacked good martial arts skills and many things in contrast to the most outstanding heirs and did not undergo the required trials to be a successor. Ziyu only became the Sword Wielder because he happened to be present when Huanyu's father, the Sword Wielder, passed away.

Shangjue's suggestion for the current Sword Wielder to conduct the trials is reasonable and does not constitute bending the rules. On the other hand, Ziyu's departure from the trials clearly violated the rules and should have been considered a failure. The Elder's decision to pardon Ziyu represents a deviation from the established rules, highlighting a significant difference in how Shangjue and Ziyu were treated in regards to succession.
Appreciate the timestamps of yours, though. The dedication.

I completely agree with you. It's my first time watching this drama with this cast, and I couldn't help but notice how things played out. When Shangjue mentioned the existence of another Wufeng assassin, Ziyu's reaction seemed quite impulsive for someone in his leadership position. It's ironic because the story emphasizes Ziyu's intelligence, yet he struggles to explore other possibilities and often lets his emotions guide him, which can be frustrating.

The audience's dislike for Shangjue is evident, but upon closer inspection, his arguments actually make a lot of sense. Rules are sometimes bent to accommodate him, and it seems like Shangjue, who presents logical points, is unfairly criticized. Even during the trial, Ziyu is constantly surrounded by people who assist him, like Xue. It almost feels like everyone is paving the way for him, and it wouldn't be surprising if he ended up with some sort of extraordinary power as the story unfolds. It's like a classic "Mary Sue" situation where everything seems to align perfectly for him.

I find it frustrating when writers create a compelling character with cunning traits but then struggle to effectively develop that character, often making them turn bad just to make the main protagonist appear more virtuous or exceptional. While I understand that the plot seems to be setting up for GZY's character development, but it feels overly obvious, as everything seems to conveniently fall into his favor. I wouldn't even be surprised if they reveal he's the son of some divine being jk. I'd prefer to see him face challenges and succeed on his own, instead of having everything handed to him by those around him. Just my two cents, though.

I want to watch this drama so much but i cant decide if i should wait until its finished or watch it while it's…
Watching a show while it's still airing just hits differently, in my opinion. Those cliffhangers at the end of each episode leave you hanging by a thread, and the anticipation between episodes is like a rollercoaster ride, keeping you up at night. Hopping onto MyDramaList's page to discuss theories and read others' comments adds a whole new layer of excitement.

As of now, it's undeniable that GZY still isn't fit to be a leader. GSJ possesses all the qualities and leadership materials needed, prioritizing bloodline and rules, but lacking in compassion and appearing ruthless. Now, Ziyu, he's got the compassion, but he can be too emotional at times. Thankfully, it seems like the plot is gearing up for his development. I mean, if Wen were actually an evil assassin, which luckily she's not, he and the Gong would be in big trouble. I mean, seriously, he practically handed over the patrol route map with ease!
