honestly I hope nobody ever goes through this and has to see their loved ones suffer so much. my mom's not ill anymore thankfully and she also got sudden kidney failure. I couldn't see her in pain it was really hard for me to see that.

I would have given it too if she was dying due to kidney failure but I hesitated and it's normal, not at all weird. It's weird how people say such stuff like they'd give their parents their kidney without being in the situation themselves. I said that too. I told my parents I would give them my kidney because living without them was impossible, but when it actually became a possibility I hesitated. My mom didn't need a kidney because she was already on her death bed, and she passed away in pain due to cancer which ruined her kidneys and even if she had gotten a kidney she wouldn't have survived. But it's hard to say that you would if you were in that situation. As a hypothetical situation I would give my life for my parents and die instead of them and without them, but I'm still alive without my mom.
I think Wookie should take a few months off too. He deserves a vacay. I know he loves his job but dayum... dude's been working like crazy for the last 10 years (glad that he can but he's big enough to take a few months off now)
It seems like I misread your comment and the intention behind it. I don't wanna share what happened to my mom but I would say it's normal to hesitate before giving your kidney to someone, even if it's your loved one who you can't live without. I have absolute respect for those who don't but I do, even though my relationship with my parents is healthy and full of love.
