I'm on the fence about Edge of the Horizon

Ha! I know that scene too! I'm really way more into this than their production budget signaled I would be! It's not smooth or flashy. The editors need more discipline. Shixian's hair changes color constantly. And I love it! As for the singing, it took me a minute to understand how many (former? up and coming? wannabe?) idols there are in BL and how often the OST is them. I really like Tiger In My Love (Deep In), Mantra (Khemjira), and of course there are a number of Jeff Satur tracks like Why Don't You Stay (KinnPorsche) and Moment (Ingredients). I'll look for this OST on YouTube, but I wish streaming services would pick up more of these.

His expressions and body language in the scene where he's dragged to the hotel are amazing. At check in, when he's "tied up" in the chair, etc. I know exactly what he's thinking the whole time with barely a word. Really well done.

His face is everything. His expressions are so natural. It's like he's responding to events in his actual life rather than acting.

Sometimes it feels like the second couple is at a relationship stage that doesn't make match what's already happened. Like they were in the tub together, right? But later on it felt like they were at an earlier stage. I'm having some timeline confusion. Also, maybe they will deal with this, but, for the mains, Kanit said he wasnt ready and Toto pushed him anyway, sir. And from T's perspective, he told K that he didn't want to take advantage of him while he was feeling vulnerable but K gave him the cookie anyway and then treated him like a whore. WTF? I know I'm supposed to be ok with that because they managed to become BFs despite K's disgustingly shitty friend group acting up, but ugh. Imma keep watching because I dont hate the characters, but there are some weird storytelling choices being made imho.

It not you, its me as they say. This isnt that far off from what I expected, but its just exaggerated enough to wear me out a bit (which I anticipated going in). Honestly, what I love is a power bottom and/or leads that feel more equally matched, i.e., Sammy's Children's Day, 4Minutes, Kiseki: Dear to Me (especially the 2nd couple), Moonlight Chicken, etc. And God forbid they write a vers couple into BL. 🫢

I just started this. Its so silly, and I'm totally in for the whole thing! The smile on the moto-taxi driver's face sealed it.
