How is the romance in this drama? There is a “slight romance” tag, but the sinopse make it sound like the romance…
i think it's family > suspense > romance. The otp do spend fair amount of time together but a lot of it is plot/studying, actual romantic bits amount to total of maybe 1 ep?

After an intriguing start I think I'm tapping out at episode 8. This is a well acted and directed show, however…
Do keep going, the kids finish at ep 9, I do find parts of 11 to 14 slow though since it's getting used to adult actors and establishing their relationship then.

I also like the ending. I feel the answer is still ambiguous. Pei Zhi at the ocean can be the one you want him…
it's actually a watch tower looking out for fire hazard apparently, built 100 years ago, so they replicated it for filming purpose.

Last episode was basically flashbacks that was already repeated much times during the drama, for me this made…
Mostly, I think it goes against the drama's theme of "not cheating".

I wish there were more character development for other side characters, but u cant help but to be in daze when…
yeah it's a shame she distanced herself from dad. it looks like she's too busy for friends as well, which is little strange since i think Qi Qi and Zheng Tianming are her efforts, not strawberry lzx's.

Just now I came to know Lei Jia Yin is 38 years old. He looks much older.
ahhahaha yeah everyone are always surprised by his age, in drama he's 44 to 45.

It depends. I watched both dramas and personally, I prefered The heart of genius. It's less repetitive than Reset…
iirc, it was some kids mimicked "time travelling" in early transmigration dramas and died, so there was an uproar and they banned it, then a while later, writers start to think of ways to bypass it.

I haven't started this, but if you've finished watching can you tell me how satisfying it is compared to Reset?…
I think Reset is a more well told story with the focus on supporting cast, there are minor complaints about "why" they time travel that the drama decide not dwell on, which is fair since that's not its focus.

This drama have more elements to it, its main focus is on I think family and suspense, the central focus is on time travel/parallel world, which I think they rounded off decently well. Do note the starting quarter (2 - 9) are played by child actors and is more inspirational than the rest of the drama, so there's bit of story focus change.

I think it's time travel + parallel world. I'm happy to see cheese lzx and she lived like a boss.

hahaha you didn't know? pleasant surprise :D
I sort of get all Ni ni news really fast from my drama watching group, this drama had an awesome supporting cast in addition to nice cameo cast, it's fun.

Damn, you're probably right! I was wondering how he had been able to come while SPZ was conscious, just before…
I think both Pei Zhi have obsessive streak tbh.

Ohj good point, I didn't think about the letter being written by LZX's mother. But I thought she died giving birth,…
The letter was hidden behind the wall of equation in the lighthouse.

He belongs in a horror film gosh. I'm really creeped out by him.
the letter was written by a mother, from the sounds of it, likely Qiu Yue.

Yes, he seems to have a pretty good eye! I wouldn't say he has no misses but imo his hit/miss ratio is good considering…
his agency is actually well known, but it's more known for signing singers (it's the one Li Yuchun and such sign up after contests in 00s and early 10s), resources-wise, they get mango tv productions, which is lower budget but have higher chance to air on tv (hunan tv specifically). skate into love's producer was fairly well known after ashes of love and he had connections with Jiangsu TV, and huace is a big company. Overall it's not as bad as you think, resources-wise.

How are you juggling so many dramas!! hahaha. I have to finish Record of Strange Things before starting this.
Yeah that's the one I'm thinking of, it's 7.3 on douban.

hahaha that's a good idea. Palace of Desire isn't heavy on politics but it's peculiar so idk if it'd work for you or your parents XD I need to get around to 2001's Smiling Proud Wanderer too, but with wuxia I feel like besides Zhang Jizhong's, I mostly need to watch/re-watch the hk versions rather than c versions.

It is 8.8 right now with more than 180k people. That's impressive
that's hilariously unbelievable.

the rapid rising in such a short time is really questionable, I wish they kept it at 8.3.

Han Wu Da Di? No that's like 60 ep. Wait no must be 楚汉传奇, the ratings for all the dramas around this period have been so so (oh it's 7 now!) so I think I passed on it. Maybe I should watch it too mhmm, cos I'm really fuzzy about it tbh.

lol, well I watched Yongzheng dynasty when I was like 8 or something, and its op was how I learnt the emperors. It just so happen that and couple other limited c-historical I watched were classics XD I started rewatching them cos I started watching Qin Empire actually (which my mum recommended), and I was like.....time to learn history through rewatching classic dramas and wiki cos who have time for books!

Oh oh! On top of Ming Dynasty 1566 having subs on youtube now (fully subbed), I believe Palace of Desire 大明宫词, the weird shakespearan-like drama about Princess Taiping is being subbed too, slowly.

I actually end up liking Cao Rui okay, but he really shouldn't last so many ep, it's one of those "check every ep to see if he dies" people. My RoTK buff brother legit doesn't remember this dude LOL Everyone remembers him as "Cao Pi's son". Oh yeah that's a good idea :) Always leave something for a rainy day. I have to get around to rewatching Yongzheng Dynasty someday. I didn't know Qin 1 and 3 is on netflix now, finally, after like idk 5 years?
