I really don't understand all this negativity towards the actors performance. they're doing an amazing job. this series is receiving bad reviews simply because of their age and comparison to the previous versions. I hope they don't take this to heart and continue doing what they're doing. I'm enjoying this series so far and I'm looking forward to the next episode!
beautifully said! ππ the people who are outraged about the age gap can only say one or two things in response…
Since you're singing the same tune, I will as well. the age if consent in Thailand is 15. yes. that would be severely frowned upon in the US but they grew up way differently. you can't compare an American 15 year old to a thai 15 year old. They're also ACTORS. ACTORS. They're ACTING scenes. not ACTUALLY having sex. Yes, they will kiss. but it's NOT REAL. they're NOT dating FOR REAL. and if they were to, they legally can. They're both above the age of consent. it's nobody's business what they do as long as they're both consenting. My fiance is 12 1/2 years older than me. granted we got together when I was 20 but that's US standards. Thailand has different rules according to their customs. you have no idea how any of them grew up or anything about their lives beyond what's on a screen.
I can't believe after everything JJ can fall for that piece of work..
I believe JJ can see why Methas is the way he is. Methas lost his parents at a very young age and suddenly had to handle a business he wasnt prepared for. he probably had to deal with alot of people trying to steal the business away and/or had to prove he was capable of handling everything. That's probably one of the reasons why JJ's not giving in right away. he's trying to see if Methas is capable of putting money aside for someone he actually cares about. Pulling the condo project would be a huge step forward in proving that Methas can learn to care for others.
I really want more of JJ and Methas. i fall in love with this couple even more than first one. and 7 episodes…
yes!! this! I'm so invested in Methas and JJ and with only 1 ep left I really have to wonder if anything will come of their relationship. Hoping, if anything, that they get as least 1 kiss π

beautifully said! ππ the people who are outraged about the age gap can only say one or two things in response to logic which means they aren't thinking beyond being morality police. I've come across so many people in life who just see BL as being a fetish and don't bother to see the art behind it. People assuming they know these actors when they don't even live in the same country. Blows my mind, honestly. Thank you for your post, again, beautifully said!
the actor is not even old enough to consent without his parents or a guardian.
I haven't read the book from what I understand it's very explicit. Series hardly ever follow books to a T though. they're usually used as more of a guideline.
the actor is not even old enough to consent without his parents or a guardian.
I meant he's not naive to the business. he's been acting for over 10 years and his parents have probably been managing his entire career. That brings the subject back to the fact that literally none of us know anything about his life, career, or the Thai filming industry. All we can do is argue about right and wrong and assume that we know what's best for these actors.

I hadn't seen the trailer but I just got done watching it. looks really good! looks like it's following the same storyline as Stay With Me but without turning it in to a bromance. Again, they're acting. They're not actually doing anything like in the novel. They're playing 2 characters in a fictional story. There are a lot of cultures that seem outrageous to others and it's just the way it is. looks like he's been in the business for a long time and he's a 16 going on 17 year old boy. I doubt he's that naive.

It's unfair to judge him or his parents when none of us were there when they signed the contract. I highly doubt he'll be put in any dangerous or overly sexual situations. if BL history has taught me anything it's that series hardly ever reflect manga or novels exactly. Even in NC-17 series you can see in the bts that they're not actually doing anything for real. let's remember that they're acting. Just because there are other Thai series that are explicit, doesn't mean this one will be.
At this point I've learned not to judge a series based on ratings on mdl. Seriously. How can y'all rate a series when only one episode is out? I usually wait until about halfway through or towards the end since it's impossible to judge after a few episodes. Don't drag a series down just because of an actor's age. Clearly he's not here against his will. I think the first episode was done very well. I've watched the other 2 versions but didn't compare them once. The story is similar but it will be done differently since it's a whole other country. Stop making baseless judgements and either enjoy the series or move on.
I once had hope on this show ngl but it disappointed me so much like??? I feel like natsume was supposed to be…
I don't think Natsume was ever in love with Tanouchi. I think it was more so admiration. Idk if Tahashi became distant so much as they were both just really busy. That's life. they won't always have time to flirt nonstop. Not sure about the whole dependency thing but if I had to guess I'd say he was probably referring to how they were a duo when they worked together so since he became the manager he felt he had to step up and be able to handle things without Tahashi around.
What I can't understand why MDL and GagaOOLala say that this series is thai when all actors (except 1) are chinese,…
I wonder if it's to avoid it being canceled? I've only seen the trailer so far but it looks like it's more romance than bromance which China ends up doing due to their laws.
Finally dropped this cuz I couldn't force myself to watch the latest ep. I forced myself through last week's ep…
if you like Cher and Yei then you should watch the latest episode π€£ also, like Yak and Yei, Dee is dealing with things emotionally too which could explain why he's dragging things out.
