South Korea: "They met as children." 🥹 Chinese dramas: "They're step-siblings."😭 Different tropes, same idea—the leads must somehow already know each other before or be connected somehow . Apparently, letting two strangers meet naturally is too simple. 🙂 it feels like writers think a relationship isn't interesting unless there's a complicated backstory attached to it. 🙂
This drama isn't bad, but I don't understand why some important details are being overlooked.
The FL is a Grand Princess who publicly vowed never to marry. Given her status and the constraints placed on her, her behavior should be much more restrained. Instead, she's constantly exchanging flirtatious glances with the ML, even when other people are present. The ML openly holds her hand in public, when she getting blamed for poisoning little King yet no one seems to notice or react. Isn't this supposed to be a forbidden romance? Considering the historical setting, such behavior would have attracted attention immediately and would not have been tolerated. What frustrates me is that the drama ignores these obvious moments, but later it will probably have everyone suddenly discovering their relationship and punishing them for it. The secrecy doesn't feel very convincing when they're acting so openly in front of others.
So good! I loved it from start to finish 🔥 There wasn’t a single boring episode for me 🥰 Xiaolan and Zhou Cheng are truly one of the best couples ❤️ I loved them so much 🥺 my precious babies. Their chemistry and emotional moments made the story even more special.
I really hope Zhou Ye and Xiao Wen get the chance to work together again 🙏 I would absolutely love to see them reunite in another project.
I honestly like Jun Ho with both Seo Rin and Jang Mi 🤣😂 I just hope he ends up with at least one of them 😅 For next episode preview, we see Baek Ho going to confront Chae Hwa Yeong… like why would he do that? It just feels so reckless. He really wants to end up in Hwa-yeong kill list Both Baek Ho and Jang Mi really need to act smarter.
I like both fl and ml individually but for some reason I am not finding this pairing likeable . They are looking a bit off . Maybe it will change after some time .
I honestly hope Feng Rui cuts ties with his mother by the end. She’s extremely selfish and manipulative . No cliche ending where everyone suddenly forgives each other and pretends nothing happened. Actions should have real consequences .
I Did I ever say it was boring? 😂 I actually enjoy it — that’s exactly why I feel 14 episodes is way too much for this kind of storyline. The fake husband-and-child setup is definitely going to get dragged out, and there are already so many subplots: the ML being pressured into marriage, his overly ambitious sister, his complicated relationship with his father, and more. With all that packed in, it’s bound to turn into the typical K-drama formula rather than the light, comedic vibe it originally promised.
Honestly, I’m completely satisfied with the small partnership Yoo Jung and In Youp shared in this drama. Their chemistry was unexpectedly refreshing , gentle and natural. Their short storyline carried more depth & felt more interesting and better crafted than what we’re seeing in K-dramas these days
Jun-seo is definitely not any better than A-jin. They’re both master manipulators—one manipulates for her own benefit, and the other is doing it all for her. The only difference is that that Jun-seo hasn’t killed anyone… yet .
Better than previous fox spirit matchmaker seasons. I could barely watch them lol 😆 All characters are interesting other than fls little brother he was annoying .
