I probably should have started it once all the eps were available for binge. The group dynamic was also something I enjoyed tho generally I tend to get hooked more in series with compelling CP. By Du Du, you meant Chen Du Ling? I did looked forward to more of her after TTEOTM, but as you said, her character in FoF wasn’t particularly outstanding for me.

Maybe dropped is a bit harsh, I might go back to them eventually as I think both are dramas with some good qualities, but just the story didn’t make me keep watching and waiting for next ep. I found the story telling in FoF a bit dense, lots of flashbacks and everyone just seems to talk in slo-mo. And the main CP just didn’t grab me from the get go. I actually don’t mind Esther, LBFAD is one of my favorite, and she’s very similar in LGIEF. I actually enjoyed her schtick and the heart felt moments in LGIEF, but thought the story was a bit boring.
What was Ji Yong’s role in the first lifetime and is he adviser to Prince Qing in second?
