I agreed with most of OP’s points but was still happy to rate this highly as the negative aspect didn’t annoyed me enough to override my favourable disposition towards the central element which was the romance, whereas if I didn’t buy the central romance, I’d have started nitpicking everything in totality, which happened to me with SAL
