Yessss, I love alllll her scenes. All her scenes are not boring to watch and especially with Ryan Cheng.
I love her in all of her roles, and the fact that shr brings something unique and distinctive to her characters that I sometimes forget that it’s the same actress playing those characters. Impressive.
No chemistry between the leads. Dropped after ep 5. LYX is a fantastic actor. I like ChengXiao, but I wish she would practice acting more to these roles justice.
He might be her relative too... there is a scene in the trailer when he is holding a little girl on his arms...…
The look in his eyes in episode 1 where he said he was a male too when she changed her clothes in front of him makes me think he might not be her relative…
But this is during a time when relatives marrying was a norm, so *maybe* he is. I suspect he isn’t, however. He is for sure protective of her, and she senses that the things he made her endure, as hard as they were, were for her own good and survival… but what his feelings towards are in reality are to be seen.
He does well in both modern and costume & period pieces. He’s been good and has been good about picking his projects.
