When I worked as an engineer, I wouldnāt think twice about doing something like she did. I mean, she didnāt read the forecast so why would she think it would rain. she tried to find her way back and only accepted the ride as a last resort otherwise, sheād be standing in the rain for an hour. If anything, it would seem unprofessional to call her boss while heās in a meeting for a ride or to notify him that she was getting a ride from the other co. (that would be weird). Heās not her babysitter, boyfriend, husband. The only think I probably would do differently is to leave a message w/ my colleague that I was catching a ride backā¦ oh wait, she did that.
