Way too underrated :)

Alrighty, I'm writing this review because I feel like this drama is way too underrated and deserves better. It needs to be protected from all the bad reviews out there! I honestly didn't expect to fall for it that much but that's exactly what happened :D

Story: When I heard that the ML was suffering from mysophobia, I was like "Oh, this is an interesting premise". And it was! At some points I could even relate to him because I also had encounters with OCD and I know how that feels like. It was just beautiful to see how his symptoms started to improve. Love is so powerful and it was just super heartwarming to witness his great development!
To be honest, it took me like 3 episodes to really get into this drama but after that I was hooked! I love how the romance developed and this drama had also some great character developments!

Acting/Cast: Okay, let me tell you one thing: I absolutely love the cast and the acting was fantastic! Even the side characters were super cool and funny! The SL was a nice guy as well!!! Also, this drama had the best kissing scenes I've ever seen in a drama!!! It was absolutely NOT K-drama-like and I was pretty surprised about that. But wow, if you have already seen this drama, you will understand what I'm talking about haha :D You could basically feel the chemistry between the ML and the FL! And something I found very interesting is that the two of them have a huuuge age gap. 12 YEARS!!! But their acting was so good that you absolutely couldn't tell.

Music: I'm still in love with the OST songs!!! Every time the song "Gravity" by KLANG came on, I was feeling super hyped and happy!!! It's definitely my favorite song from this drama. Also the song "Glory Days" by Sentimental Scenery was super super good! The producers definitely know when to play the best songs hehe :D

All in all, I really really enjoyed watching this drama! It definitely put me in a good mood! The only thing I kind of disliked were the last two episodes or so... I loved the ending but I really did suffer before that haha XD But as long as it has a happy ending I'm okay with that and 9/10 is a super good rating after all!
I can totally recommend it to everyone who's looking for a nice rom-com! Let me just tell y'all that this drama is worth the watch and that you won't regret it! :)

Love, Love, Love!

Finally I can write my review!
Oh gosh, I don't even know where to start because honestly, that was one of the best dramas I've seen so far.
Let me tell you why I loved it so much:
First of all, the plot. Maybe the plot is not the most special one ever, but it's really good, though. Especially because it includes books and the setting in the publishing company which I loved. So if you're into that kind of stuff, you won't be disappointed.
The cast is very, very well-chosen and has pretty good acting skills. I loved every single character in this drama which is even surprising to me because normally I dislike the supporting role in the love triangle. But here I even loved the characters who were shitty in the beginning. You shouldn't judge a book by its cover, you could say:D
In this drama you don't just get a cute, mature romance, you get so much more: Beautiful friendships, inspiring personalities and some knowledge in book publishing which I found very interesting to be honest.
On top of that you get amazing OST! Everytime I listen to them, they leave a smile on my face and let me feel motivated. Through out the drama they were really fitting and made every scene even more special.
In general, this drama is a real feel-good drama. Doesn't matter if you're sad or happy, this drama will make your day. I felt so good watching this. I connected to the story and the characters immediately. If you like Lee Jong Suk, then that's also a good reason to watch it because he was so good at his role. I can't imagine a better ML in this drama. :D
And this drama will also awake your emotions. When I watched the last episode I was crying almost through out the whole episode. It was sad, it was happy, it was inspiring. And I miss this drama so so much. For me it was like everything in it was fitting. None of the characters was left behind and they got time to tell their very own story. So if you're in the mood for a new drama, watch it! Get yourself a blanket and a cup of tea and enjoy this cozy, feel-good drama:)

We need more dramas like this one!

I was super excited to write a review of this drama because I've enjoyed it soo much! If you browse through some reviews on MyDramaList, you'll see that there are many negative ones. I feel like this drama deserves a lot better and I'm going to tell you why.

Story: First of all, I think we all know this drama is not perfect. It was messy at times, but you could tell the producers tried their best to make it unique and memorable. For me personally, they really achieved that. As for the story, I loved it (at least most of the time). While watching this drama, I've learned so much about the definition of hard work, going after your dreams and goals no matter what and showing the world you can do it. And you learn some cool things about cooking, food, and advertising. It was interesting to get a little insight into this industry. I found it truly amazing how Park Saeroyi managed to stick to his goals and values, even though he had to overcome many obstacles and hurdles to reach his dreams. But let's just appreciate the fact that he really did it! His determination inspired me to go after my dreams as well. Now I feel like I want to work harder in order to live the life I want! Thank you Park Saeroyi for teaching me some life lessons and for motivating me to do my best!
I loved this aspect of the story but I figured the vibe of the whole drama (like being an outcast, working hard etc.) kind of changed at a certain point towards the end (when he established his company) which made me quite upset, to be honest. I was also a tad annoyed the main focus on this drama lied on revenge. This became quite tiring after a while... From then on I wasn't really excited to see the ending. But thank god, the last episode totally convinced me to give it a 9/10. Also, it felt super refreshing to watch because they covered topics like sexuality (transgender), racism, and whatnot. It was the first time ever I've seen something like this in a K-drama and I'm glad Korea is starting to get more open-minded in terms of topics like these <3

Characters/Cast: I cannot lie, THE CAST WAS AMAZING! This was my first drama with Park Seo-Joon (Park Saeroyi) and wow, he's an amazing actor and I cannot wait to see his other dramas! He totally pulled off his role as Park Saeroyi and it was perfect for him! As I have mentioned above, I love Park Saeroyi and I still think a lot about this drama and how he managed to achieve everything he wanted despite the circumstances. He is a big inspiration to me and I'm glad I watched this drama!
As for Kim Da-Mi (Jo Yi-Seo), She was my favorite character in the whole drama! I really can't believe it was her first role in a drama ever... She was absolutely amazing in it! I also cannot wait to see more dramas with her! Yi-Seo is now officially one of my favorite female characters ever! She was so damn badass, iconic, and cool! She would do everything for Saeroyi and it really pissed me off in the beginning that he couldn't see her as a woman. I mean yes, she is like 10 years younger but come on, who cares? I shipped them right from the beginning and I wished they had gotten together a little bit earlier. It took him ages to realize he loves her... At least they ended up being together which made me very happy. The two of them really deserve only the best!
A character I absolutely couldn't stand was Oh Soo-Ah! Gosh, I hated her so much! In the first episodes, I thought she was okay but oh no, she wasn't. Working for Jangga and the chairman knowing what they had done to Park Saeroyi and his dad made me so angry. I really couldn't understand how Saeroyi has loved her for 10 years! She was a hypocrite, expecting him to love her but silently turning her back on him. I couldn't even look at her face because it made me mad. But I do have to admit I was glad she had a little character development at the end. The last episode made me hate her a little less. What confused me as well, was the character Jang Geun-soo. I loved him in the beginning but once he started working at Jangga he really started disappointing me. I was glad he apologized for his deeds and became a better person in the end. I guess I don't have to say how much I hated the Chairman and his stupid, cruel son.
Other than that, I loved the squad and the staff at DanBam. Super lovely people <3

Music: This is something I was super excited to write about as well! The OSTs were amazing and I'm sure I'll never forget them. Especially the songs "You Make Me Back" by Woosung and "Start Over" by Gaho will stay in my playlist for a looong time! They are super motivating. I also loved the instrumental songs and I love listening to the whole OST album :)

In conclusion, should you watch this drama? Yes. Is it perfect? No.
I feel like this drama's imperfection is really not that bad cause it showcases that life itself is NOT perfect at all and that everyone is going through life for the first time. This drama was a total rollercoaster ride with unforgettable characters, amazing acting, and awesome music. It's now one of my favorite dramas and I hope it can become one of yours too. :)

A MUST WATCH

This drama hit me differently.
It is not an ordinary cliché drama, it goes so much deeper and lets you think about it even after a long time...
In the beginning I couldn't even imagine that this short 4 hours long drama could made me that sentimental. The main character Yoo-Tan really annoyed me in the first episode. But then... everything changed all of a sudden. I even cried in episode two.
It was one of the best dramas I've watched so far, but still, I think I won't rewatch it all by myself because the plot is so powerful and deep... It wouldn't hit me the same.
One sad thing about the drama is that you won't get to listen to the OSTs because the producers never released them:( The music is beautiful, though.
So, if you're considering whether to watch it or not, DO IT! It is so worth it.

A Piece of Art.

This drama is truly a piece of art. And I really mean it. I still can't get over it. For me writing this review is like trying to express my inexpressible love for this drama. I'll try my best:
I already saw this drama on Netflix last year, but I couldn't get myself to watch it, partly because back then I wasn't that much into korean yet, partly because it was hyped so much. Often that can scare you or get annoying, but let me tell you one thing: THIS drama deserves the hype, the high ratings and the love. It's really worth it.

Story: When I read a summary of the plot, I got interested in the story, it just seemed so creative and new for me. I got hooked in the first episode, the plot really was creative. I stayed hooked until the very last scene. So at this point, probs to the writers, you really know how to write a creative, interesting and hooking story.
The story had everything: A heartwarming, cute and mature romance, beautiful friendships and characters, some really nice action parts, but also scenes to laugh at and scenes to cry your soul out. In conclusion: The story had everything you might wish for. The story for me was just perfect. It was well-written and unique. I heard a lot of people say that they had wished for another ending, but for me the ending was the most beautiful and aesthetic ending I've ever seen in my whole drama-watching career:) Also I had NOT expected it to come that way, so it was even better that I couldn't predict it. Also the story hit me right in the feels, I cried a lot of times and it is one of the few dramas that you can actually feel with all your heart!

Characters: I really fell in love with almost every character! Of course there were some I couldn't stand, but that was okay. My favorite characters were of course Yoon Se Ri and Ri Jeong Hyeok! But I also loved the Soldier squad! They were so cool and always made me laugh:) I especially liked the youngest one and the one who loved K-dramas^^ Every character had his very own story and it was interesting to see where they all go. Also the inhabitants in the military village, they were just iconic! I really loved the vibes there.

Acting/cast: The cast couldn't have been better! It was sooo well-chosen, you really believed that the cast was living their roles. The acting was on point, I had no single moment where I thought: Ugh that didn't seem realistic. That happened not a single time! The cast is very talented, I could feel the chemistry between the ML (Hyun Bin) and the FL (Son Ye Jin). It was so strong that I really believed they were in love! THAT is good acting:D Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin were just born for their roles!^^

Cinematography/scenery: Okay I just had to add this point, mainly because I fell in love with the sceneries! Especially the one in Switzerland, Sigriswil. Oh my god was it beautiful! It was the perfect place to film the story where everything began. I want to thank the producers for making CLOY so aesthetic and authentic and pure how it is. Also every place seemed so real that I truly believed it's how it looks like in North Korea, even though it was filmed in Mongolia.

Music: The music was very special to me. I fell in love with every song, even if it just played as background music. I think the piano piece "The song for my brother" is the most special to me. Of course the music was again very well-chosen and fit perfectly in every scene. I just love the album with the OST. So beautiful, I can't even describe it in words!

So, I hope my review helped someone out in the decision whether to watch or not! ;D For me this drama is a 10/10! It's my favorite drama so far and I guess it will stay in my top-ten list for a really long time. If you're still unsure then please just watch the first episode! This drama will draw you in immediately and you will be hooked! Get yourself a cup of tea and a blanket and start watching!!! You won't regret it :)

A Good Introduction to Historical Dramas!

As you can see from the title, this was my first historical drama ever and I loved it. Therefore, I think it's a very good introduction to historical dramas and totally worth the watch :)

Story: This drama started off as light and funny and I think it continued that way till the second half of it. I enjoyed the cross-dressing plot a lot and it was just super entertaining to watch. I have to say that the whole vibe of the drama has suddenly changed in the second half of it. It became more intense, dark and there wasn't as much comedy. However, it was still super nice to watch, and eventually, I couldn't stop watching it.

Cast/Characters: The cast was excellent and so was the acting! The actors and actresses did their job perfectly :) The FL Dong-Ju and the ML Nok-du were absolutely perfect together and had great chemistry. I've known the actress Kim So Hyun from Love Alarm so I guess that was also a reason why I was curious to see The Tale of Nokdu.

Music: I loved the OST in this drama! They were beautiful and for each scene, you had a perfectly fitting soundtrack! The producers did an amazing job!

All in all, I can totally recommend this drama! It's super enjoyable to watch and you also get amazing, beautiful scenery, lots of fight scenes, lots of action and a sweet romance. The drama will make you laugh, cry and feel all types of emotions basically XD It's totally worth your time, and as I said, it's a really nice introduction to historicals. :)

I loved it!

Finally I can review this beautiful drama.
So, first of all you need to know that I've never seen the original story, I've only seen this 2018 remake.
All I can say about it is that I loved it. It's even more special to me because it was the first Asian drama I've watched and from then on I was in love:D

This drama is actually really long (49 episodes), but if you're really into the story then it will be over in a second.
Also, I loved the cast! They were perfect and played their roles very well. I didn't give the highest rating for acting, though, because there was a thing that really got on my nerves: The kisses of the lead couple. They seemed so unrealistic, no mouth movement and it didn't seem passionate.

I loved the plot, I really did, but sometimes I felt like I was emotionally torn because in one moment everything seemed allright and then suddenly, it wasn't. And as I said the series is quite long, so there was a lot of it.

But what was perfect were the OST! I listened to them 24/7 after I finished it. The music was just so fitting.

And last, but not least, the ending. I won't spoiler you, but the ending was just perfect. No open ending, no confusion. It was really good.

I really recommend this drama to you, if you are into Rom-Coms and heartbreaking plots.
