I remember that day of november 2024 when they show the first trailer, I was very excited to watch this BL. And the wait was definitely worth it, this first episode starts strong and I already like the setting, the atmosphere and the first interactions between Barth and Tan.
I really liked these two first episodes, the dynamics between the characters are interesting, it's fun and cute to watch, and the actors are all handsome. The only issue I have is with the editing, it switches way too quickly between the characters, and the past and present scenes mixed it together make things a bit confusing and hard to follow sometimes. Hopefully this won't be an issue in the future episodes, can't wait to be next week !
Putting an elimination system in a dating show is cruel and disgusting, the show producers should not play with people's feelings like this. The candidates are fully emotionally involved into this adventure and they develop real feelings, eliminating them or eliminating someone they have a crush on for the sake of entertainement is just wrong. After the show there could be very bad consequences for the candidates who are eliminated, this bad experience could mentally and emotionally destroy them. I still can't fathom how the producers came with such a dehumanizing idea...

In a dating show neither producers nor the viewers should be entertained by torturing the candidates' emotions. Because these people involve themselves fully into this adventure and they develop real feelings, so eliminating them or someone they have a crush on for the sake of entertainement is just wrong.

I really don't understand why he didn't get more success in the show and more support from the viewers, he's handsome, funny and has always a cute and positive attitude. Agreed, its the best Thai BL I've ever watched and my favourite BL of 2025.
Yeah it’s understandable because Gelboys is way better than the shows you quote in terms of realness and emotions. But to each their own indeed.
As for Shine maybe it gets better afterwards but even if the setting was original, I personally found the first 3 episodes quite boring. This was a succession of confusing scenes with the couples being poorly built and having very little chemistry. But that's my own opinion. And I never rely on awards to determine my favourite shows :p
