Wow that’s such a bummer! Ig they did that cus he’s just a support char and isn’t allowed to shine as much as the leads. I’ve seen so many dramas ruined novels side characters like this and that’s just not it especially since this Changqing char is already an interesting char on it’s own but they stripped him down and resorted him to just chasing after FL when i heard in the novel that he actually stop chasing her after finding out who she is.

Holy moly, 5th prince is so handsome in that armor and when he fights. I heard that the novel Prince Xin was way better than the drama version and it feels like they changed him so that we wouldn’t like him too much or something. Sabotaged his character but still like him doe.
