1.The night Huai an's father was murdered, wasn't there another hooded figure who doesn't show his face among the group? I don't remember them showing his identity, can someone please explain if I missed something?
2.Did they ever explain why Yan Feng Shan betrayed Liu Zi Wen? Did he help Huai An in the end just for the country?
3. So, his mother was the one who was tied up for 7 days/nights? Does the timeline align with his sister being born?
4. How the heck did Huai An survive that stab from Cen and Tiemo King???
5. I am still disappointed in Xiao Wen Jing, was he that spineless to attack his brother? His people are already in danger, you might as well fight alongside your brother instead of being so weak. He had a choice and went along with Tiemo King's bidding? I don't really understand that because up til that point, he seemed to have matured a bit. Whether he attacks his brother or not will not change the Tiemo King from doing what he wants. Or am I missing something here on the logic?
6. Where can I watch the extra episode? There's more to it??? I cannot access Youku, is there another platform?
WTF lol. I swear this drama doesn't let the viewer catch their breath (in a good way). Intense.
Questions I have: 1. Is Huai An's mother still alive??? Was that lady from ep 23 her? 2. There are still characters we haven't seen --> the Grand Preceptor, the unknown man behind the hood (one of the men who were at the scene of murdering Liu Zi Wen) 3. the fates of the old lady and her disciple from the earlier episodes (not sure if they will show up again) 4. can someone explain to me what Yan Feng Shan's motive was for killing Liu Zi Wen? They never really explained why he betrayed him did he? So I guess from these latest eps, it looks like he actually helped protect the country from Tiemo people (even though it doesn't justify what he did wiping out the Liu clan) 5. Xiao Wen Jing - are you serious? After all the character growth you still don't have a backbone! I get he was blackmailed (the lives of the many citizens of Chang An were on the line), but I was hoping he was smart enough for a better plan...unless he does have one? TBH I kind of guessed that he may end up being an Emperor of Chang An again at the end. Seeing how these experiences would shape him to be a better and stronger leader....but all I can say is WTF during ep 24. 6. With Xiao Wu Yang down....the odds are all against Huai An. I'm surprised Ye Zheng made it out unscathed to see his shifu. A miracle and almost unrealistic...although I can overlook this because the drama overall has been so amazing
1. YE ZHENG PLEASE DON'T DIE - I assume he and his shi mei do not know about their shifu's background?2. Perhaps…
Yeah I'm curious, it looked like he was telling HA to turn around. At least HA knows the face of the enemy (I wonder if this is the person he could not see the night his father was murdered). I am holding out onto a sliver of hope that Ye Zheng is still alive T_____T with YZ and Gu Yu down, and Mr. Long being from the enemy country, who can HA count on for help???
1. YE ZHENG PLEASE DON'T DIE - I assume he and his shi mei do not know about their shifu's background? 2. Perhaps the King of Tiemo is the person who was there when Huai An's father was killed? The one Huai An could not see clearly? Hence the name 'mysterious man'? But I hope they dive into how and why he got imprisoned and stayed that way for so many years. No one was able to kill him and ppl like Wang Pu and Liu Ziyan had to show respect? 3. YFS's death was quick lol. When the camera zooms in on him seeing 'Wang Pu' I knew something was up in relation to his conversation with Huai An, who asked whether YFS ever sees Wang Pu. Damn Huai An, he's always one step ahead (just a hair away from death lol) 4. Damn Gu Yu really held on to his last breath fighting for the country - a true hero. If he weren't held back by his legs, he would be unstoppable. I wonder what he was trying to tell Huai An (to turn around?), and the way he held the King back just to cover for Huai An T_T
I think, he would become a troublemaker that mess every plan. I respect that he has conscience. This show is telling…
I appreciate your insights here. I guess in the beginning, Xiao Wen Jing felt like a cornered mouse where he lost all his power and freedom, hitting rock bottom. I can see how he was triggered even more hearing the real Zhang Mo was happy and free. It was a spur of the moment that led to something tragic.
I will say, Huai An and Ye Zheng have a lot of grace. Ofc we know they kept him alive at first because they needed Xiao Wen Jing alive to track down YFS. But over time, I'm sure they were moved by Xiao Wen Jing's sincerity.
I love how this drama really cuts to the chase. They avoid recapping what happened in the last episode and just…
And I was so moved by the teamwork between all the characters in carrying out their mission to achieve a common goal. Even between those who didn't see eye to eye (i.e. Gu Yu and Gao Yan). The way they all sacrificed just so the rest of the team can continue marching forward. That is admirable. You cannot help but root for them.
Tbh when I started watching this show, I didn't expect much character growth from Xiao Wen Jing. When he killed the real Zhang Mo, I just felt like he was a lost cause. I didn't think he was someone who cared about anyone but himself. I also didn't expect that he would forge much of a bond with Huai An and Ye Zheng. I thought he was going to be a backstabber haha.
Does anyone here share the same sentiment? I sometimes feel a disconnect with how he is actually a good guy. If he is good by nature, then how could he have impulsively killed so many people especially Zhang Mo? I don't understand why he had to kill the real ZM.
With that being said, I do appreciate his growth and he is endearing sometimes. But can the guy please choose a different weapon? WHY AN AXE?!
I love how this drama really cuts to the chase. They avoid recapping what happened in the last episode and just get straight to the next scene. They do not drag on plots and the death of the supporting characters. This is probably one of the few dramas where they just kill off the character when their purpose/mission is done, no bs. And the way they integrated Huai An's past is neatly done too. The cliffhangers get me every time but I love it
I'm surprised Yan Feng Shan didn't kill Huai An when they met. I thought it was strange that YFS told his subordinates…
Yeah after the Marquis died, I lost interest in the drama, especially with the irrelevant side stories and romance (which didn't really add to the plot). So sad we couldn't see more of Huai An's father here lol, always getting killed off haha

The actor who plays YFS has such charisma. Even though he is HA's enemy, he has a face that does not look evil or ill intentioned lol. I cannot hate him yet. Maybe this is the same kind of feeling I had when I watched Legend of Zang Hai with the Marquis lol (who funny enough plays HA's father here)
1. Did Huai an really kill his friend (think his name is Zhou Mo) in ep 1/2? He said killing him is saving him…
I'm more scared of Wang Pu than YFS LOL. The actor who plays YFS has such charisma and presence but from his face, he doesn't seem evil, so I cannot bring myself to hate him...YET
1. Did Huai an really kill his friend (think his name is Zhou Mo) in ep 1/2? He said killing him is saving him…
oh wow I totally forgot about this detail. could you refresh my memory about this? it was basically a difference in their values/beliefs that created a rift right?
