Agree. I sympathize with both of them because they have to think of their own families but also each other. Can’t blame Anle tho, she doesn’t enjoy this but she cannot live her life when her family’s name hasnt been cleared. If Hanye and Anning were in her shoes, they’d prob do the same

But can’t blame Anle, imagine losing your innocent fam and 80k men in the most cruel way. Hanye and Anning are good people and are not to blame but Anle cannot live her life without clearing their names - which technically isn’t being vengeful, she just seeks justice. It just sucks because they are in love but both main leads have to think about their families too. Ah difficult positions but that’s why it’s a good drama right?

Only skimmed through the episodes and am excited to watch them later today. I knew from yesterday’s preview that the ball will finally start rolling. Been waiting for this! I know HY and Anning want to look out for their family even tho they feel bad but can’t blame Anle for seeking justice (finally).

Just finished ep 22. The main otp sadly have to return to reality, Got excited when the royal siblings verified her identity. The convo between HY and Anle was meaningful, from the valley to the car ride home. Literally had meaning within the words, between the lines. Ready for the game to begin!

A shame when they do this to dramas, especially for those that have a lot to flesh out in the story and among the characters

He wasn’t a bodyguard in the novel, just a childhood friend. Not sure why they changed that in the series because it doesn’t make too much sense lol

He was frail and ill since he was young, but won’t die here if it follows the original story

At this point I’m just watching to see how they will manage to wrap this up 😂 i was waiting all yr to watch this because of the star studded cast and promising storyline but…😫 any other drama recommendations?

From what I heard, HY was not one dimensional like this. Both he and Anle are supposed to be quite layered and much more intelligent and calculating than this

This show is more of a pining love story of two leads circling each other than revenge. I havent really seen any action or progress since ep 1. All I hear is “80000” soldiers and repetitiveness but no action or decisiveness on Anle’s part

🤣 I know! It’s actually kinda irritating. I think he is supposed to he more of a support to Anle, where Anle is the mastermind who manages most things. Anle has been too passive and wishy washy. All the ppl should he reporting to her including Lin Lang. Still; LMX is a character I was looking forward to but they def didnt utilize him well enough.

Can’t speak on the novel but for the drama, it appears he does this to draw boundaries since LMX isn’t there to be his friend (with all the revenge plot behind the scenes). They are supposed to be “enemies” as Luo family is loyal to Di family

Yeah HY lacks that oomph. Same with Anle. The actors can only do so much with the script :(

Totally agree. They should’ve taken advantage of the great storyline and cast. Changes are inevitable for drama adaptations but was disappointed this time because it felt very one dimensional

Tbh no idea how the rest of the series will play out. Considering how draggy it’s been, I predict a rushed ending where loose ends are somehow easily tied up 😆 like some historical dramas are
