Yeah I don’t know how it played out in the novel, but considering how brilliant Anle is supposed to be I was disappointed with her character in recent episodes. She isn’t as rational and strategic as I expected. Still watching it because I’m biased with LMX loool

Spoiled myself with the raw episodes today and was disappointed that Anle misunderstood LMX in ep 14. I am not sure how it happened in the novel but I wouldn’t expect Anle to jump to conclusions so quickly since she is usually very bright and trusts LMX. Altho it’s understandable to not want to hurt the innocent, it is inevitable to have ppl indirectly involved in a revenge plot. Felt her thought process was a bit naive, especially since they need fake DZY as her coverup (why would LMX just kill fake DZY lol)

The way that game escalated, it was hilarious

Have you read the novel? Are the characters in the drama very toned down in comparison?

Yeah, it’s definitely to draw boundaries since LMX isn’t there to make friends, they have a mission. He does respect Hanye tho but because of what happened, they can never be friends. Even without the tragic past, technically Hanye is his opponent in love lol

I love linglang but I love LMX because of his deep devotion to Anle haha, call me cruel but yeah. I don’t think he will die in the drama tho

Ppl say Hanye in the novel can be ruthless even tho he is kind, but LMX can be equally ruthless. Did you see those scenes where he looked forward to getting back at the ppl who gave Anle a hard time (those greedy officials?) He will not rest if someone hurts her. Love his character

Yes I think her father asked LMX to take care of her when she was born. He has looked out for her all her life. His love for her is definitely no less than HY. Regardless of who she chooses, both men would make her happy. Sadly for LMX, she only ever saw him as a brother and chose HY. I know my second lead syndrome is gonna be bad with this one lol

I guess not every drama is everyone’s cup of tea. I will say that it is refreshing to see a more forward and strong FL and calmer ML - challenges your usual characterization of ML/FL.

Yeah that’s what I heard from the novel. I did read excerpts from the novel with LMX (mind you I’m not totally literate as there are no translations), and was so moved by his devotion. Just not sure how much they will show in the drama since scenes always get cut - which is sad

He always plays a chic character so I was surprised by how funny and talkative he is. So funny

Loving LMX’s character so much. I know Anle and Hanye are the OTP but I love to see LMX on screen and also his interactions with Anle, kinda wish they included snippets of their childhood and how LMX became her guard. Tbh surprised he was her guard considering he suffers from an illness that affects his health

No, he is on Anle’s side

Oh yeah definitely saw some Wen Kexing in there altho I do like his hair all up esp when he is in his military uniform in those trailers

I LOVE LUO MING XI and the subtleties in his interaction with Anle

Wow sounds like such a powerful couple, they are each other’s match. Wish they stayed more in line with how the characters were portrayed in the novel. Perhaps they had to really cut it down and make it lighthearted (at least in the beginning)

Aww too bad we don’t see this. Altho the comedy is fluffy and cute, I appreciate the strategies and intellect and schemes more. Would’ve loved to see that
