Luo Ming is a good or a bad character? (For me, he's a person with a poker face. , I can't read his actions)
Good. He dedicated his life to support Anle in her journey. Basically does a lot of things behind the scenes, and of course with revenge, it’s not a fun thing to do (so he isn’t there to make friends). He is cool and chic but secretly loves Anle very much, probably no less than Han Ye
Been waiting for this drama to air and am liking it so far. Ngl I was skeptical about GJ and RB’s chemistry, not sure why, but I wasn’t sure how they’d work as an OTP. But so far it’s developed quite naturally. RB’s portrayal is natural and not over the top (with the flirty and cute behaviour).
I want to mention - LOVE the strong female leads in the show. That scene with Anning and Anle was beautiful. I can see why ppl love Anning. Love the sismance.
Also, as flawless as Han Ye is as the male lead (from what I’ve heard from the novel as well), I have a huge soft spot for Luo Ming Xi, not your typical nice guy SML but very cool and chic. I already know my heart is gonna break for him (especially after reading excerpts from the novel). I wish there were 2 Di Zi Yuans for both ML and SML.
With 40 eps cut down to 39, I’m a bit nervous about how things will play out, let’s hope they don’t butcher it.
LOVED this! I think the second was even better than the first as it dived more into the main characters' backstory. Great acting, chemistry, storyline and CGI effects.
I’m so glad I gave this drama a chance! It was a pleasant surprise, such a refreshing romcom series. It involves a couple that’s different from your cookie cutter type of romcom couple. Even though many of the scenes (which the cast and crew worked so hard on) were deleted with choppy editing, the main leads still carried the show with their great chemistry! No drama is perfect, and this one definitely had its flaws, but I really enjoyed watching this series each week. I will definitely miss it. Thank you to the cast and crew for the hard work.
Just finished the drama and I already miss MCS and his moments with Fei Liu, Meng Zhi, etc. I found a deleted scene that showed MCS was still alive at the end, I was told they originally included in the ending credits, anyone know? Also, what was the ending like in the novel?
I know there are many who are not fond of the main couple, but I personally love them. They kind of remind me of Chang Ge and A Sun from The Long Ballad because they don't align with your conventional OTP. I like how Wu Shuang is spunky, head strong and assertive. She has her flaws and is quite naive and simple minded at times, but has a good heart. YQ may have appeared to not be interested in her in the beginning, but there were subtle hints that he had a crush on her from day 1 (e.g. keeping her amulet from ep 1). I admire the level of trust and understanding WS and YQ have. They are not only childhood friends, but comrades who can work with one another, and of course are lovers. It's not everyday that you see a relationship that ticks all three boxes.
For censoring many scenes that were originally supposed to be in the drama, They made the Best out of it and it…
I really don't like her character. The story really didn't need her as she didn't serve much of a purpose. I don't understand the development of her character, felt very choppy. Also, the love triangle seemed to have come out of no where...she supported Wushuang and then all of a sudden became all jealous.
Feel bad for he biao, he was so loyal, sweet and caring. Fengling doesn't deserves him. I like this drama and…
She is honestly the most infuriating character in the show. I don't understand the purpose of her character and how she just suddenly became this power thirsty woman. I don't buy her reasoning for wanting power either, doesn't make sense. Also, I was hoping there would be no love triangle. In the beginning, I appreciated how the female leads became friends and were naturally drawn towards each other (before knowing their true relationship). Fengling's feelings toward Yunqi seemed friendly and platonic and she supported Wushuang and Yunqi. Then all of a sudden, she started becoming jealous? Like what?! Even if she started having a crush on him later on, Wushuang's her friend.

It’s been years since this drama first released but I decided to rewatch it and fell in love with the characters and heart warming storyline the second time around. Despite the minor flaws (no drama is perfect), I have to say this is one of the few worth rewatching whenever you want something to bring you joy. The highlight was definitely seeing the characters grow and develop as individuals and as a unit. I’ve watched so many shows over the years, so I appreciate ones that focus on this aspect.
I love how even though YJ is your classic arrogant tsundere, he is quite self aware, honest and willing to try. NI is a refreshing, quirky female lead - although childish on the outside, she is actually very mature and in tune with feelings of others. I loved how she became such an influence/inspiration to so many people. I also loved the cinematography, the laughs, the mundane yet wholesome moments…the beauty lies in its simplicity.
I wasn’t bothered by the lack of skinship because the love was shown through their actions and the little moments. The OTP appeared to be polar opposites, but connected in a way that was so intimate - seeing how their hearts and souls connected through music was just beautiful…speaking a language only they understood. Contrary to his father, YJ walked on a path that he felt was more fulfilling - one which he will walk on beside NI.
Thank you to the cast and crew - I think I might just rewatch it again!
Rewatched it after years since it was released and fell in love all over again. Never watched the original or the manga but I liked it as a standalone series. Heartwarming, wholesome and made me smile.
I remember Lee Soo Hyuk not getting that much screen time in Doom at Your Service either, did the drama "born…
speaking of born again, i don't think i can get over it. i was so disappointed LOL they did his character dirty. the way the female lead was written was so inconsistent in the latter half, even though the 2 ML's did a great job at acting, the script did them dirty lol. maybe it's because lee soo hyuk is just too good at playing the broody tragic characters that they type cast him and so he is never given the lead role? but he definitely has what it takes
