Is this drama really worth its high ratings? I’m now at ep 13 and still am not hooked yet….im not quite sure…
The FL is a supporting role. When it was announced Dylan is the only top billed for Dafeng. This is a male centric drama, so this isn’t a romance-focused drama. The romance was slow burn and still cute and endearing in its own way. She has her own story and grows up a bit later in the story.
In the beginning during a work team building role playing game activity, he unexpectedly entered the Dafeng world. There was no way for him to leave and he even thought that maybe if he was killed by those bandits he would return to the modern world. In the modern world he was a police graduate that ended up a salesman. He is worried about money and we see later he didn’t have a good life, so in the Dafeng world he wants to live without worry and make money with his modern knowledge, that is what he's going for.
The first 13 episodes are just setting up and getting to know his family, the guardians, and Dafeng. The story is just starting. The novel is super long and may have 3 seasons.
