Do you mind telling me what kind of issues he had in LYST with his co-star? I quite enjoyed that drama and didn't…
I thoroughly enjoyed LYST last year and was surprised with the horde of overly negative comments mainly directed towards her. From what I understand, I think she had gotten a certain image from some variety programs she was on that people didn't really liked? People were saying her acting was bad, but tbh I thought it was ok.
It is so dumb to hate on a show just because you didn't like the actress/actor/director. Judge a drama by its plot, storytelling and acting skills, there is no need to bring in external prejudice.
After watching ep 18-19 i was really tensed. Than after watching ep 21-22 trailer now I'm kind of relaxed.
I personally believe the production team deliberately included the letter part into the end of ep 21 trailer so to assure viewers not to worry about Mu Sheng and Miao Miao. Our sunshine and tsundere will be back!
The part when Mu Sheng was looking for his headband was so heartbreaking, The way he spoke, how he stumbled around looking for it, I just want to give him a hug and wipe away his tears!
Ding Yu Xi's acting is top notch. The viewer is able to feel every emotion that Mu Sheng was feeling: sadness, betrayal, shocked and ashamed of his demon self. I almost could not bear to watch it.
The shadow screen scene was so well done and funny, it would be nice to see the bts for that scene as I'm sure it was a 1 take shot that was timed perfectly. Can't wait for tomorrow's episode!
What makes Mu Sheng's & Miao Miao's relationship so endearing is because there is realistic interactions between them which naturally deepens their feelings for each other. They tease one another, chit chat under the moon, go shopping together etc.
It isn't some sort of magically sudden moment that the ML fall head over heels with the FL. There is a progression and we all have front row seats to it 🤣🤣
Guys, please don’t take this as an offense. My intention is to understand the unique appeal of this show. It’s…
Many recent dramas have gone for the "Revenge Arc" plot, such as The Double, Blossoms in Adversity or has a heavier, heart-wrenching storyline such as Lost You Forever. While such stories are engaging and satisfying for viewers when the lead succeeds in the end, the show is also very emotionally taxing on viewers.
LGIEF provides a simple, humorous and fluffy storyline that is easy to watch and laugh to after a stressful day of work. Most importantly, the humor is on point. There are shows that tries to be funny, but the jokes doesn't land and feels forced/exaggerated. It is also not one dimensional as there are heartwarming parts such as Miao Miao & her father and Mu Sheng trying to accept his other side.
The pacing of LGIEF is masterfully done, by the second episode you will be laughing at the medicine scene and you can't wait for more. There are dramas where even by ep 4-5, you don't really get the plot of the drama.
The chemistry and acting of the leads are also top notch, Ding Yu Xi acting all jealous and shy is just perfect.
To me I feel it is the meeting of all these factors that makes it so popular.
I'm loving this drama!! Its been such a long time since I have fallen for a drama this much. Literally counting down the hours to when the new episode is released and re-watching previous episodes.
The drama and the cast are receiving a lot of love and I cannot be happier for them!
Seeing accusations of plagiarism popping up so dropping this even before I even started...Edit: People defending…
I have seen the allegations online as well but to be honest, it quite a stretch to call it plagiarism.
Character with white hair, team having a meal together, demon fox with markings on its body, scene with a red filter background etc? All these are not unique or new and I have seen other shows with the exact same scenes/imagery.
I think people just wants to find fault and criticize GJM's work because of his previous issues, people are just so unforgiving.
Let's just enjoy the show and appreciate the effort put in by everyone. Give it a watch! It might be your cup of tea.
Ahhhhh my poor heart, everyone is so pitiful and I just want to give them all a hug. The story thus far has been engaging and you will come to care for every character, even those not part of the main team. It has done such a perfect job of allowing the audience to understand the characters and watching them grow as the show progresses.
This show is filled with stunning & intense fight scenes and the cinematography is so visually-appealing, I would replay the fight scenes several times as it is just so well done.
The path to Kunlun has been tough, but the team must press on.
Sooooo sweeeet! Gosh this drama is really exceeding all expectations. Can't wait for the next episode! Ding Yu Xi expresses every minute emotions so well, from anger, jealously, concern, shy to fearful, you can really understand what he is feeling at any moment.
Such a great drama! The scenes between Mu Sheng and Miao Miao is so hilarious that I truly LOL. Ding Yu Xi as usual is serving looks and great acting. I can't wait to see what happens next!!
I'm enjoying the plot so far, everything is shot so beautifully and the set designs are so intricate. The backstory of the demons in the first 2 cases is so heart wrenching and bittersweet. Looking forward to the next episodes!
Idk why I can’t get into Cheng Xiao. Even here. I found her acting very good at first in this drama but the…
She is good when it comes to her cold & cool character and executes the fight scenes beautifully. However, when it comes to the heart wrenching sad scenes, she cannot express it well and is not convincing enough.
So far loving this drama! The cinematography is astounding where every frame is like a painting. The set design is elaborate and grandiose. I like how the music and sound effects are used effectively to further convey the scene.
Each character's styling, makeup, outfit is unique from each other and suits their role. At this point, I am enjoying the 4 leads and feel like they are well cast. Can't wait to see the camaraderie grow between them.
If I'm to nitpick, the skin smoothing applied on the actors is a little much, but maybe that's the director's style.

I was so stunned by HMH's acting that I had to pause and rewatch it again.
