As Someone who Loves this genre and can say I've watched most in the genre. I can say...It being the main focus of the show. Like Typical genre bending is Rare. like in Sungkyunkwan Scandal and You are beautiful etc. What we only get especially in Historical is basically FL needs to do something or mission in a certain EP has to dress up as a guy. But it's basically so not the main focus or theme. just subplot or Scene.
And personally don't have a problem with them making her look like a guy because I already have it in my head that they Disguised and I always go with the logic.
